I don't know what to say 06/04/20 - "not at the beginning stage"

Why is cervical cancer so bad? Sorry if this is off topic, I'm just not too familiar with cancer.

It sounds like they can just take her uterus out. She is lesbian, she wont use it anyway.

I would have assumed cervical would be similar, just take it out.

You cant take out your liver. Hence Norma's grave condition.
I really don't know why that one is so bad but in some states that's the only way you're instantly approved for Medicaid. For women if you're pregnant or have cervical cancer. That's the only cancer they will approve though.
I think it has the strong potential to spread quickly to other organs.
But she has uterine. They'll most likely just do a hysterectomy. If they can do it with her extreme weight.

The thing about Amber, is she’s too stupid to ever tell the truth about what’s going on, because she can’t learn it. Uterine cancer is very slow growing, but there are different types. Then there are not only different types, but stages (which they don’t know until after surgery). Amber just heard “cancer” and that’s it. She could be asking for her pathology report to learn it but she won’t.

She doesn’t know and won’t learn that Becky’s mom has a more dangerous form than hers, that she will die but Amber probably won’t.She won’t learn that obesity acts as a second endocrine system, causing fat to release estrogen, which is a risk factor for every female cancer.

Honestly, she got lucky that her first one was uterine which is slow growing. Her next one could be ovarian which is not so benign. (Likely, doctors will remove it all to prevent that). Then there is breast cancer, which Becky’s mom had and which seems to have spread to the liver which is deadly. If she ignores this warning, she could end up there.

Lots of people who get a cancer get it again. Their body is predisposed to it. It’s not always their fault-in most cases it isn’t. But if you are obese it’s definitely something to think about.

After her surgery, she’d better realize that she got lucky and lose the weight once and for all. And if it has spread (which I doubt) it’s still curable, so a few rounds of chemo might really sink it in.

for the record, the dosage of chemo you get is calculated by weight and skin surface area, so she’ll have large doses. Chemo isn’t always like the movies and most people manage fine, but Amber being such a hysteric will have a rough time. I doubt it’ll come to that though.

We are just going to be left to try to figure it all out by parsing the treatments she says she’s getting. She’ll never be clear enough to know the details.

To reduce your risk of endometrial cancer, you may wish to:

  • Talk to your doctor about the risks of hormone therapy after menopause. If you're considering hormone replacement therapy to help control menopause symptoms, talk to your doctor about the risks and benefits. Unless you've undergone a hysterectomy, replacing estrogen alone after menopause may increase your risk of endometrial cancer. Taking a combination of estrogen and progestin can reduce this risk. Hormone therapy carries other risks, so weigh the benefits and risks with your doctor.
  • Consider taking birth control pills. Using oral contraceptives for at least one year may reduce endometrial cancer risk. The risk reduction is thought to last for several years after you stop taking oral contraceptives. Oral contraceptives have side effects, though, so discuss the benefits and risks with your doctor.
  • Maintain a healthy weight. Obesity increases the risk of endometrial cancer, so work to achieve and maintain a healthy weight. If you need to lose weight, increase your physical activity and reduce the number of calories you eat each day.

Still

Endometrial cancer can often be cured while uterine sarcoma typically is harder to treat.[3] Treatment may include a combination of surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, hormone therapy, and targeted therapy.[1][2] Just over 80% of people survive more than 5 years following diagnosis.[4]

Not to soapbox, but while the uterus can be removed, it can still be devastating to the female body when removed. Her not using it for babies doesn't necessarily mean it's not in use. It helps with hormone production and mental stability.

More importantly, the female pelvis is wider than the male pelvis (for obvious reasons). The uterus serves as a plug for the wider pelvis to prevent your other organs from slipping down via gravity. Normally, the vagina is connected directly to the uterus, since that's the main purpose of the vagina - to safely connect the uterus to the outside world.

So, you remove the uterus and cervix, sow up the back of the vagina and turn it into an internal sock. What do you think is going to happen if your organs (and perhaps other non-organy things) press down on that vagina a bit too hard?

Sure, there are ways to surgically make that less of a possibility, but the best way to prevent that outcome is losing weight and eating healthy.

I'm wondering if Big Al will be able to fit in a PET machine. They are SOP when checking for metastasis. Also, a common site for uterine metastatic cancer is the bladder. I suspect that when her Cx is staged she is looking at stage 3 or 4.

She might fit into a PET machine but she's on the upper end of the weight limit. There is a possibility that Amber is over reacting honestly... they don't diagnose cancer over the phone, they tell you they've found some abnormal findings and start booking appointments.

Wow I didn't expect this to pop up so quickly. I imagined her as having a few more decades being smug about her health and proving to all of us that she is a healthy gorl and knows better than all the haddderrs about her health. I feel bad for her because no one should have to go through being that scared and full of panic. On the other hand she should have been having those feelings years ago when doctors would tell her constantly that she is not healthy and going to die an early death due to her decisions. Obviously she would just look for more doctors (or lie about not being lazy and going to others) until someone finally agreed with her perspective. Or for her to twist what the doctor said to uphold her previous beliefs. I hope that this will be the change she has needed for a long time, however I am not particularly hopeful currently. Years of bladder infections and UTI's makes think that she might have had this cancer for awhile.

It looks like she will have to go through with having a partial/full hysterectomy coupled with chemo from my rudimentary googling about cervix cancer. She will probably be receiving shots to buttress her immune system which will also increase her tiredness and stomach sickness. Along with chemo she is probably going to be feeling terrible and losing a dramatic amount of weight pretty soon. There is also the chance that her heavy bleeding are the beginning symptoms that she was lucky to get which will result in a fairly easy surgery and her returning to normal ALR really quickly.

She will have to go to a doctor every three to four months for about 3-5 years in order to follow up no matter what the outcome is.

Till the next update, I'm going to assume it's pre-cancerous cells (suggested in chat by @SAVE TWINKIE!), or an abnormal result that requires a second scraping, which happens a lot. It's not that I'm trying to not believe she has cancer-cancer, it's just that she obviously wanted this saga so badly and boom, she got it. Which seems off. Or maybe it's because my cousin just got a positive breast cancer result, and they didn't give her the news on the phone, the called her in so she could get the news along with a discussion of what's next and her options. It's weird they'd call and be like "amber, you've got the big C, have a nice day" Giving someone bad news like that on the phone seems like medical negligence, because the person could freak out and harm themselves because they think that's it, it's over, no options. But maybe they made an appointment for her to go in tomorrow and in her frazzled state, she just didn't mention that.

The shantyfolk are way too stupid and intellectually incurious to figure out what options exist for amber to get medical assistance and a case worker to manage it. Amber is too dumb and dramatic to consider that there are options out there. Not short term health insurance, they won't pay for preexistings from the past 60 months.

Amber keeps saying she wants her mom and whatever, well she knows how to get in touch with her. The woman is sober, if she was like "mom, I need you" I think she'd be there without having to rehash shit (hopefully with aunt tammie in tow to keep an eye on her sobriety).

It's fucking happening.

Tears tears everywhere, this is amazing as fuck. I'm cumming. She got her results and she's got CANCER, FAWK, WOMB CANCER! Uterine cancer and she's knows it's her fault! Quit crying then unless you feel sorry for yourself, crying isn't going to fix shit now and is useless.

Go to your gyno's gorls, unless you want to end up like Amber, you don't want that do you? Neither do I. She wants this over with so she's filming this now so she can just get to the asspats. So many tears.

She's really scared because her weight which is also her fault. I can only cum so much you fat pig, stop this video already, through the towel in on it! We're only halfway done, this is the best. She's got to get it all out because she's been on Youtube so long, this is DSP's reason for why he's still on youtube and he's not going to die of his gout, there's still hope, ahhahahahahaha!

Every word punctuated by a sob, holy shit this is amazing. She wishes she had her mom, but her mom is alive so I guess reach out and touch her. Hasn't heard from her dad in so long and doesn't know where he is, thanks for the support, she's out of ideas to say, pray for her, for Becky and her family, please. She's going now, Big Fucking AL has left the video!

If you only watch one Amber Reid video, this is that video!

How could this happen...

The video was genuinely difficult to watch... She's hysterical.

We've all seen her crying videos before and they're very ordered, she has set things to say between rounds of fake tears and sobs but this... This wasn't it.
She could barely breathe, was very matter of fact "I have cancer, it's my fault..." And she was saying really bizarre things, with no cohesion.
I think we've just seen Amber being real, unfiltered, honest and scared... And it made me feel quite uncomfortable, and quite sorry for her.

Yup. This may well be the only video we'll ever see where AL is actually honest. I didn't think she had it in her.

C is a bitch. So is big AL, but I wouldn't wish this crap on anyone.

I do hope she can recover, cancer is a bitch and while she is as well, I can't wish cancer on anyone.

Can any American Kiwis possible give at least a ballpark range of what shes looking at cost wise? If there was ever a time to get insurance it would be now.

It's probably been answered but it depends on what stage she has. If she just needs surgery it'll probably in the tens of thousands, if she needs chemo/radiation it would cost hundreds of thousands with all the scans they do. If she had insurance it would still costs her thousands of dollars and that is with really great insurance, she could probably get state insurance which would probably cover just about all costs for treatment.

Cancer treatment in the US is expensive, people go bankrupt and some go destitute trying to pay medical bills associated with cancer treatment.
