That’s the sort of shit that was the nail in the coffin for me. Many years ago, I was naive and used to think it was nice that “allies” spoke up in support for gay marriage or women’s rights, even if they didn’t have a direct interest in either. When I saw them turn around and defend a religion/culture that is a complete nightmare for both women and gay people, I realized they didn’t give a singular shit about the principles involved and just wanted asspats from whoever was giving them out that day.

I think it's already starting. Amazon/Wal-Mart have made a killing here. Every local small business shut down for 3 months, and then right as the lockdown is being lifted all those small businesses get looted, most of them are not insured specifically for riots, and even the ones that are will never do business in those neighborhoods again.

Damn, I just found out somebody I know brought incendiary devices to one of the "protests" last night.

He's looking at a minimum of ten years and its already been kicked from state to federal. Sweet kid, when he's on his Lithium, but he's not exactly scrupulous about taking it. And knowing him when he's off it, he was REALLY obvious with a truly stupid Mad Bomber routine. Probably more a threat to himself than others.

I was more friendly than friends with him, but it is still kinda weirding me out.
