Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

Went out on a totally essential junk food supply gathering run last night. Only about 20% of people were actually wearing masks though I'd say about 60% had them, but were wearing them around the second chin they had developed from staying in and eating too much.

Bless you Corona-Chan cleanser of worlds. Another blessing.

I guess he won't accept HCQ to treat Corona-chan because Trump used HCD.

And speaking of HCQ, Timcast vlogged about it.

One Youtuber gived me a big smile today.

TheVideomaker2341

They can't say Trump is right. It will explode their heads. Mentally and physically.

I've gone from "we need to stay home and be cautious" to "I'm skeptical, but just to be safe ..." to "Wu flu was over-hyped open everything now". If later on they announce a second wave, I'm going to take my chances and go about my business as usual because I have no faith in the authorities at this point.

It's one thing to say that you understand why people are rioting, but to act like large scale gatherings like this where people are not social distancing and yelling to boot (which means more stuff is being sprayed everywhere) is not a safety risk -- screw you. It's either a deadly pandemic or it isn't. Pandemics do not give a fuck about civil rights or police brutality. Even if you are morally in the right protesting, you will still be dead if you catch a bad case of Wu flu. If the authorities aren't worried about that happening -- then the Wu flu is a scam.

Which makes me wonder who and for what purpose are they destroying the world economy? Maybe it's the quarantine that's messing with my mind, but shut downs and riots are both destabilizing events for a society and it does make you put on your tinfoil hat and wonder why, especially in an election year, everything seems to be going to shit all at once.

The main reason they oppose this is that it’s cheap and readily available 528F6CA6-66BC-4725-8536-48561A0D83C1.png

Small circus everyone!

Covid is done and gone. Most important part now is the EU political circus, which of course it's shit it's EU politics at this point even the germans know they'd be better off without it and they're the only ones who ever got anything out of it to begin with!

Anyway the EU circus is not what I'm here for. It's the spanish circus. So. Alarm State now will officially die the 22nd of june. Which means that is the day I will cheer with you all with a picture of some nice moscatel. Shit is. For some reason, that I can only imagine is the absolute fucking retardation at display, the minister of tourism got it in her head that that meant fronteers would reopen. Spoilers, cunts. Lockdown measures drop with alarm state. Meaning the 22nd all measures taken with those powers, be they economical, social or political will need to be dropped or re-implemented properly by congress through a vote. And no measure can limit the civil liberties, meaning those which do won't be able to reapear even with a vote. Issue is: Border control is not one of those fucking measures. it was implemented without adherence to said powers with an established timeframe. It won't drop.

So minister has popped up quickly to brag about how we're totes reopening the 22nd yo. Portugal will have free travel yay. Which was news to fucking Portugal, who had not heard a thing about it and were quick to bitch about it on the international press:
What portugal didn't know is that This was also news to the fucking government of spain, who were currently bitching at the minister and had to force her to make a second communicate informing everyone what she had said was bollocks 2 hours later.
So yay for utter lunacy everyone! We're still reopening for july. Hope you enjoy the show on the meantime. My god. What fucking lunacy at display. btw the memes are glorious. Holy fuck, that was tarded.

Also, while searching for english journals so I could for once give you the news pre-translated (which didn't work for the second one *insert sad trombone here*) I found more circus. So enjoy:
Nacho Vidal is a spanish porn actor who was very well known at his prime for having a penis that is 25cm long. That's almost 10 fucking inches in freedom units. Anyway so that guy got arrested for being involved in a shamanic ritual which ended in the death of his phitographer due to toad venom poisoning. What the absolute fuck.

And this poor belgian man has been reduced to shaking in fear with what seems to be described as PTSD triggers every time he hears a scooter engine outside his home due to being sent pizzas for 10 years now. I don't know what I like more about this story. The fact it took 10 years for him to actually get the police in the case, the fact that some utter sped has seriously been sending pizzas to someone for a literal decade, the fact that he claims this has driven to shaking with fear that he might be delivered pizzas. Or the fact that the fast food place hasn't just put him on a "don't go there" list after 10 fucking years of prank calls. What the fuck is this timeline?

MICHIGAN RECAP
Most stuff reopened or about to be. Death toll and new cases way down. It's looking like it's all over except the lawsuits.

OFFICIAL DEATH TOLL

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services reviews deaths and adds overlooked cases to the count three days a week: Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday (usually). Recovery counts are updated on Saturdays.
13 deaths were added today.

MDHHS said:
Regular reviews of death certificate data maintained in Vital Records reporting systems are conducted by MDHHS staff three times per week. As a part of this process, records that identify COVID-19 infection as a contributing factor to death are compared against all laboratory confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Michigan Disease Surveillance System (MDSS). If a death certificate is matched to a confirmed COVID-19 case and that record in the MDSS does not indicate the individual died, the MDSS record is updated to indicate the death and the appropriate local health department is notified. These matched deaths are then included with mortality information posted to the Michigan Coronavirus website.

It seems like a lot of us, myself included, are fast losing track of this thing because of the American blood sports. It's far from over though. Brazil and Mexico have both had over a thousand deaths yesterday and you've got to wonder how is the inevitable US spike gonna look like. Although in some Dem-governed states, it's possible that everyone who could have died from COVID already did. Either way, they done goofed, and the probability that protests/riots over racism are going to result in hundreds or thousands of otherwise avoidable deaths of (primarily) black Americans doesn't seem to cause any cognitive dissonance.

Domestically, there's not much changing. We've finally more or less contained the Silesian cluster and struggle a bit with a few smaller ones. I envy the likes of Slovaks or Slovenians who have effectively halted the spread of the virus, but we'll see what the long term economic impact is going to be. Some aspects of our economy are turning out better than expected and we're set to receive a massive financial boost from the European Union if nothing major changes.

Concerning the susceptibility test I promised to update @Otterly on, well, it's been commercially available for weeks not, but there is a total, incomprehensible dearth of any information about it. Additionally, the company's stocks are all over the place, the chairman is making some odd moves and there's wild speculation that the whole thing is a scam and he just wants a foreign company to buy them out and vamoose. Utterly humiliating if true.

From what I've seen everyone is wearing "masks" so they'll totally be fine. Having a bandanna around your neck like a lesbian's pet labradoodle is the same as having a gas mask, I know because my friend sally on instagram shared a post about it being just as safe.

"Science based decision making." God damn it. I had to fucking hear people regurgitate media talking points with absolutely no fucking skepticism because fucking people can't figure out the media is there to scare the shit out of you.
Yup yup. I remember somebody here mentioning people die from the flu, heart attacks, and cancer everyday without shutting down the economy

The thing that bugged me the most was that Sweden didn't lock down. If this thing was a virulent as they claimed their death toll should be magnitudes larger.

Yes, compared to other Nordic countries they did bad. Sweden should be facing numbers like America if it was so bad though.

You also cannot point out that even with precautions people will die.

People lost their damn minds because of this and no one will be accountable.

That was likely me. Have stated the stats several times in different places. Funny, nobody tells me I am wrong.

Jesus H. I wonder if it was like this in communist countries. The paranoia that you would say the wrong thing because you didn't know something had changed. The idea you needed to keep to yourself because you didn't know if someone would freak out at you.

The feeling that you are alienated from your fellow man because the world went mad.

Not sure if this was already brought up:

Governments and WHO changed Covid-19 policy based on suspect data from tiny US company

To be more specific, they changed the Hydroxychloroquine policy, claiming that it was dangerous to heart health based on supposed AI-trawled data from the internal database of a tiny shell corporation that won't publicly release its data and doesn't really seem to have any other publications based on this database, which has a washed-up doctor named in multiple malpractice suits as its founder and principal investigator and a camwhore for a sales rep.

This is mentioned at the start of the latest Dr. Campbell video. The study which I mentioned here as 'very bad news for hydroxychloroquine' and which stopped the hydroxychloroquine trials has been retracted

The Lancet paper that halted global trials of hydroxychloroquine for Covid-19 because of fears of increased deaths has been retracted after a Guardian investigation found inconsistencies in the data.

The lead author, Prof Mandeep Mehra, from the Brigham and Women’s hospital in Boston, Massachusetts decided to ask the Lancet for the retraction because he could no longer vouch for the data’s accuracy.

The journal’s editor, Richard Horton, said he was appalled by developments. “This is a shocking example of research misconduct in the middle of a global health emergency,” he told the Guardian.

Gee, it's almost like relying on one study to decide to cancel other studies is dumb or something. Who'd have thought it?

And of course, the left seems to have forgotten about the lockdown because BLM riots take precedence. What a shitshow.
