Minneapolis PD does have issues, don't get me wrong. I had to call the cops to report a crime that was committed against me and couldn't get ahold of any of their lines. Eventually I had to call 911 just to get an officer. No it didn't go anywhere and no one was caught despite there being traffic cameras everywhere. To dismantle it? Extremely dangerous. People are not capable of policing themselves, ESPECIALLY in a big city.

I would love to tell someone like this that by funding the police, the city is funding something that benefits society and their community.

It's absolutely horrifying is what it is. Police services are globally deemd important enough that in order to cut down on their time to get to where they are needed, they are allowed to ignore pretty much every rule or law of how to navigate a road.
The moment their sirens go off and the light starts flashing, absolutely everything else is rendered null and void and everybody else has to make way.
Cops can drive almost as fast as they want, ignore red lights, swerve over lanes at their leisure. To cut down the time to reach a crime scene a few seconds earlier.

That is how important their service is. If this alone was implemented, you'd get a massive spike in deaths and injuries.

Most of these demands are so naive, a grade schooler would understand they are not feasible.
