Again, I know I'm being extremely optimistic here but at the same time, the Left has gone all in on this and they've sunk way too much into it to go back on it now. It really is now or never for both sides on this one.
This is their absolute last chance to pull this off and our absolute last chance to stop it. This is the endgame for the bigwigs and their opponents.
To expand a bit on this, the Georgians a few centuries prior were about at the same ridiculous level of degeneracy as we are now. If not worse.
Rampant gay sex and open prostitution with corrupt priests "marrying" them then annulling them for coin and wine, upper class members in drag pretending to be women meeting other men.
Drug use, alcohol abuse, lawlessness.
You had the luddites defying scientific progress and mechanisation.
Highwaymen robbing travellers.
When that era ended, the Victorians, the children of Georgians regarded the era as a degenerate, vile time of lawlessness and madness.
They established professional police forces, the rule of law was severely punished but some enlightened practises such as more humane prisons were established to attempt to reform prisoners and treat them as people. Aside from the odd general strike, any striking was seen as a possible vector of a return to degeneracy and put down brutally.
Homosexuality was shamed and its outlawing enforced
Now, the left of the 20th century (because really, that's what we're dealing with here, communism's rotting corpse staggering on and no new political ideology has actually emerged aside from a return to light nationalism) have been hammering nails desperately into the societal "pendulum".
Education, social output, entertainment output etc all overwhelmingly support this position masquerading as enlightened when the reality is it's a relatively small slice of the population that are true believers with near mindless young foot soldiers parroting the party line because everything is sold as "good" is thrown under this and everyone wants to be a good person, to be a good guy.
They've even attacked the nuclear family relentlessly across the whole of the West because the phrase "When a man gets a wife and children he becomes a conservative" holds very true. When you have shit to actively defend, you tend to become less open to rapid, and large scale change because your desire is to raise your children in a stable environment.
The problem we have is... what happens when the nails finally come loose and the pendulum can swing freely again? You can see how night and day the Victorians and Georgians are.
Generation Alpha seem to be aptly living up to their name and are, in many reported cases busy doing their own homework unprompted without parental oversight, don't watch television or even much in the way of streaming services and lots of core zoomer/young alphas are increasingly unplugging from relentless tech.
What's a generation going to learn when all information is at their finger tips and a large chunk of it unfiltered? For a chunk of their early years this information was nearly completely unfiltered, and the fact the big search engines are
desperately trying to add in biases and filters is just another desperate attempt to hammer in more nails.
But again, what will happen when those nails come loose?
