Reading the article the author neglects at any stage the address in law enforcement at no stage does it actually talk about what the police ideally do, so the article completly avoids the primary purpose of the police rather than the justice system. This isnt even really bad article-it's barely an article at all.
If I where to guess I'd say it's a rushed re-write of the legal system rather than enforcement of the states to try and make it topical. I could of coarse be overestimating the author as we're talking about someone using childrens cartoons for political theory.

OK, so they don't want police or prisons. Fine. But everyone is baying for something to be done to the police officer who killed George Floyd. I agree that what happened there was horrific and should not go unpunished. But what do they propose be done here? Do they actually want to rehabilitate this police officer? It doesn't seem like it. What's happening is that people who had nothing to do with the killing are being punished by having their businesses and homes torched.

Also, how would you safely integrate sadistic rapists and murderers back into the community? Some people truly cannot live free in society. Who the hell would want to live next door to someone like Jeffery Dahmer?

I want to speak to the manager of this narrative, please. I feel we're missing a few steps in the middle.

Seriously. One thing I hate about the recent spate of police brutality cases (besides the obvious) is that they've caused a lot of people to believe that all cops are stormtroopers who wake up every day salivating about how many black people they'll get to kill. It's bizarre how determined some people are to believe that all cops are evil.

One brand of hypocrisy I've seen from SJWs is that generalizations are only bad when they're about race or sexuality. But claiming that all cops are nazis or that all Trump supporters are racist is perfectly fine. It reminds me of when people used to argue that homophobia had any meaningful difference from racism. Even Jon Stewart once called out some liberals for claiming that it's wrong to believe that all Muslims are terrorists and then turning around and saying that all Trump supporters are bigots.

The problem with a lot of people is that they can't compartmentalize. Can't take shit on a case by case basis. This "all or nothing" approach to debate hampers any meaningful discussion about social issues.

That officer's life is already ruined, and it's only going to get worse for him. The problem is, people are being so overzealous with trying to get judicial revenge on him that they're trying pile on harsher crimes so there's actually a chance he might walk away free. Which would likely cause yet another round of rioting.

It's almost like these people are trying to fuck it up. First rule of a high-visibility case: nail the defendent on the most obvious, uncontroversial charge you can get. Then try to pile on more years with other crimes.

Well, the people being talked about in this thread would be good candidates.

I remember a good while ago a youtube lolcow tore into Steven Universe for its villain redemption fetish. I think it was Lily Orchard. It doesn't really matter. What matters is that they didn't go far enough with the criticism.

SJWs (like all post-moderns) like to believe that humans are tabula rasa. That nature has no bearing on our behavior and nurture is everything. It can all be changed with enough effort. But since they're massive hypocrites, only the people they like can be redeemed... everybody else is Literally Hitler.
