Is there a database somewhere, similar to a credit score, and if I say, "Maybe rioting and looting wasn't the best way to go about making police accountable," then I end up listed as non-conformist and unemployable for life or am I just being paranoid. It's like for the past decades when I wasn't paying attention schools trained kids to bypass the 1st ammendment by controlling who gets to work. I want to laugh at the stupid antifa kids and assume it's all just idiots on twitter but with the media and corporations siding with them it all seems so organized and weird. I'm imagining some weird shady organization training people and placing them in positions of power, I keep trying to take off my tinfoil hat and have a laugh and I can't do it.

From what i understand the reason they dont have a hardline on being fit its because nobody wants to be a policeman already + the only requirement to handle a gun is having fingers thin enough to fit trough the trigger guard, and guns kinda over-ride fitness in most cases, so they literally fill the ranks with whoever is stupid enough to join the police force in a time where democrats are hell bent on taking all power away from the police

I'm enjoying the schadenfreude- again, this was really a game of chess between the Democrats and Trump. Trump resisted sending in the troops, allowing the movement to hang itself by the petard.

In the span of a few short days, the entire field of epidemiology discredited itself because of wokeness, while BLM seems to be starting to sputter out (but did us a solid and revealed the true vile nature of the progressive movement to the general public). Democrat mayors and governors are left holding a fat bag of doodie in having to either appease or resist BLM demands.

Edit: And JK Rowling coming in with her winged hussars and drawing away the trans legion, who will be focusing on seething and typing up novel-length replies rather than retweeting BLM content.

Lots of ups and downs here, between posters feeling hopeful and hopeless- and I hope tomorrow will be nice and quiet.

the key difference here is that the 'religious right' were american conservatives at heart and thus they held free speech and free expression as sacred, and abhorred political censorship. these people never even made any serious attempts at cracking down on anything, the only censorship they even tried to engage in was laughably unimportant shit like putting "parental advisory: explicit content" stickers on rap music albums or forbidding GTA:SA sales to minors because of a sex mod.
the other side, however, doesn't give any fucks about freedom of speech. they know it's in the constitution, which prevents them from using state power for that purpose, but they have absolutely zero restraints when it comes to using non-state power to get the job done - corporations, academia, schools, entertainment, news, all of it.

the sad reality is that if the religious right had been as unrestrained as this back when they were in charge, if they had used all their available power to crack down hard on dissenters, then they would likely still be in power today.

Not really, it hasn't picked up enough traction to actually do that yet. I only know about it because I was interested in the gardens and sewing. Most people into it have maybe a small herb garden.
