From the post, a Hong Kong dev created a surveillance site that alerts users with information from online police scanner stalkers. Adding alerts to the map requires a key to enter in data, yet I'm not sure how secure that is.

Not only are sites like this gonna 100% draw federal attention to them, it's also gonna encourage police and the like to start properly encrypting their communications and video feeds.

Aren't countercultures a historical anomaly produced by the past 50 years anyhow? I was under the impression that for most of history everyone in a given ethnic group had shared culture and values, except in times leading up to revolutions. Maybe clamping down on countercultures isn't that hard regardless of whether you're the Jewry or the the king of England.

Edit: I forgot about multicultural empires like Austria-Hungary and the Ottomans, rephrased.

countercultures and subcultures always existed, but they were locally contained and limited to urban areas
widespread counterculture only became a thing with the rise of mass media in the 20th century

The problem with guys like Gavin and Baked Alaska was they jumped the gun too soon and got cracked down on. Honestly, they figured it'd be too easy but their downfall is probably going to end up being one of those catalysts, like how the failure of the Beatnik counterculture to gain traction in the 50's led to the more widespread and uncontrollable hippie counterculture of the 60's, who became like the Beatniks on PCP.

No corporation is willing to side with the counterculture and they're trying to prevent it from taking root, and people are waking up to this.

Call me optimistic, and I know you will, but it's entirely possible we might see a return to the more "analog" media for the countercultures to meet up and discuss and organize in private for a while.

They might use generic social media to get people on the mailing lists or just give phone calls to meet up or do whatever, and a lot of them will use shibboleths to more or less get the word out.

There's a reason why the SJW Left is so fixated on "alt-right dog whistles" and see them behind every corner, because that's the kind of tactics a genuine counterculture will use.

It sounds ridiculous to think they're going to start literally writing letters and making phone calls or whatever, but stranger things have happened before, and it's a good way to basically fly under the radar in this digital world since everyone else has written it off as obsolete.

Again, they've played their last hand and if they lose, they'll start to retreat and find another way to remain in power since SJWism would have failed if the coup backfires.

That's probably why ANTIFA is now listed as an international terrorist movement with all the big federal restrictions that entails.

This is the kind of stuff that can basically force the payment processors and banks to do to the far left what they've been doing to the right voluntarily. If the coup fails, all that money will be wasted and then comes the freezing of accounts and assets, and any corporations who backed the coup (which is nearly all of them) can be held legally and criminally liable on federal terror charges.

At that point, they'd have to more or less give up their tactics, withdraw their capital and start to throw the BLM thugs and Antifa punks under the bus and maybe a few bigwigs to serve as the scapegoat (I'm hoping Dorsey is the one that gets to take the fall for the team) and they will do what they can to keep their head down and formulate a new plan to enable any backlash and then co-opt it again, just like they did with the Religious Right and with Occupy/the SJW's.

Rinse, repeat.

Again, they NEED this coup to succeed so they can get the eternal control over the culture that the doomers have been predicting.

Let's hope and pray that this insurrection backfires on them and the Silent Majority actually shows up in November.

I think this will be true on some level or another. I've definitely noticed an uptick in interests such as shortwave radio in right wing circles. People using analogue methods of communication will have temporary safety through obscurity, but as soon as they are discovered, they can be disbanded by the left.

No they don't. Not sure why people think this. Most levels of government are against the right and will not enforce any of this "Antifa are terrorists" posturing. All they have to do is wait for demographics to catch up to us and slowly amend laws so that we have less and less privacy and less and less ability to express nonconforming opinions. The reason why this coup attempt is happening is for 2 reasons: 1. They are lashing out because Trump was not meant to win and he is causing enough inconveniences for them that they want him gone ASAP. 2. They know they have enough control now to push the Overton Window significantly further in the leftward direction and they are doing a little test to find out how much they can get away with currently.

The people who just wanted police accountability should have to figured out how to separate themselves from the rioters. I remember the crazy white lady at the park called the cops on the black guy for telling her to put a leash on her dog. The sjw's got her fired. The black guy said he didn't mean for her to lose her job, he didn't think it was good way to go about it. But those weirdos hijacked his cause. They keep turning it into white vs. black when I was initially on the black guy's side just like with George Floyd. Then I quit caring. I blame the honest people who just wanted change for letting themselves get grouped with the loonies.
