Nick just dropped a short video on the controversial anime convention tweet today that was about POC and that facebook group.
Can’t wait for Shane’s Virtual Consent ConAnime Expo announced their own virtual convention and it takes place on the same days as FUNimation's.

FUNimation is unsuspiciously absent from Anime Expo's event.

I just watched it.
I just watched it.
He mocks the sheep convention runners who listened to this idiot and made themselves look bad by taking orders from this bellend who apparently doesn't think POC being guests in his shitty convention is worth anything.
So ken will be on kenknuckleheads and possible soye appearances.
More info in MoRon's thread.
I've seen that group on Facebook many times. Too bad the members that got kicked didn't archive anything from it before they were kicked.

Btw, there are some more interesting members of that group.

So that little worm Faisal is a part of that group. What a shock. Stan Dahlin is going to get a chuckle out of this.I've seen that group on Facebook many times. Too bad the members that got kicked didn't archive anything from it before they were kicked.

I need to add that he isn't just a member, but an admin. That is why you can see his name. Facebook caught some flack a few years back for making the names of members of a private group publicly visible. I'm not sure if there is a hack for that.So that little worm Faisal is a part of that group. What a shock. Stan Dahlin is going to get a chuckle out of this.

The Social Media Front
However, Nick Rekieta released a video regarding the subject and revealed that a source came forward and told Nick that this particular person, identified as the owner of the San Japan convention, was part of a Facebook group that convention owners gathered and discussed "how to improve conventions":
The source also revealed that the San Japan owner was the one who made sure the other members did not invite Vic Mignogna with the threat of being kicked from the group and ostracized.
Other members of this group includes Faisal Ahmed, who made an affidavit in support of Monica Rial and Ron Toye (courtesy of @Animegate19):
I give her little thought. She thinks she has a ton of influence in the industry but she doesn't. She is a nobody in the business, a con-agent who undervalues her people and this is some of the reasons why people are leaving her. She knows the truth, as you can see here, but likes to ride the line. Well, this came out months ago and I bet she is regretting it.
San Japan announced that the person who made those tweets, Dave Henkin, has stepped down as chairman of the convention.

Emma Glover, a cosplay director at San Japan, reportedly resigned from their event, along with her staff. She said she was frequently de-prioritized, belittled, or ignored and Dave Henkin's comments were the final straw.

Jinnie McManus, the founder of We Run Anime Cons Facebook group he was an admin of, gave him some words of encouragement.

Jinnie also wrote an affidavit for Ron and Monica and was interviewed for the Japan Times article. She had her own #MeToo allegation come out a year later (#JinnieGate2020). Beau Dufrene reportedly turned down her sexual advances and she retaliated by restricting his access to the convention's guests as a member of the press. He would later state that she belonged in jail because she was a criminal.
One anonymous person claimed to have heard rumors about convention swinger type parties/group sex. They said that some of the hearsay if true would land Jinnie in prison.
