Trump Enslavement Syndrome - Orange man good. /r/The_Donald and any public demonstration of rabid pro-Trump enthusiasm in spite of all reason.

I wonder if he thinks he'll still be on network television and get to endorse mainstream brands and stuff like he used to. If so, I suspect he's in for a disappointment; I don't think he'll ever get to do Pizza Hut commercials or be on daytime talk shows ever again. He'll certainly be able to get paid endorsements for right-wing websites and the like, though. I recall some people thought he would start his own cable network if he lost the 2016 election, so maybe he'll team up with Hannity for that.

Just idle musing. At the end of the day he's a billionare so he'll be fine no matter what happens.

Also, I need to know from the rest of the world. I grew up in NY so the Donald was always in the news or tabloids for something. Is that not the case in the rest of the country? Because I am baffled by how some people see him as this great guy when I grew up with him being reported for being generally terrible.

I mainly heard about him because he was in yet another scam where he ran some business into the ground and left the investors holding the bag, broke contracts and refused to pay for work done, screwed tenants in his shitty buildings, or was just a general cunt. He talked shit, usually utterly dumb shit, about every single President from Reagan on, all of whom were better than he's been. I never understood how people saw him as anything other than a brazen scam artist because that's all I ever saw from the '80s on, that and his ugly-ass tasteless buildings. He always struck me as a white trash idea of what a rich person was.

You know, I almost have to wonder if deep down he doesn't even want a second term. He seemed to think that he'd waltz into the White House and everyone would love him and he would snap his fingers and get everything done and be the best president in history. Almost like he didn't understand that the president doesn't have absolute authority to do as he pleases.

Obviously he's still gonna run for a second term because he doesn't want to lose or be seen as weak, and he's got a pretty good shot at winning anyway.

I mean, shit, man, if I was a billionaire living a cushy life, I wouldn't want to give it up to be president.

That's been something I've wondered about for a while. Like, he's realizing that being president isn't what he thought it would be. But if he loses this time? His reaction would be interesting. Would he scream fraud, or talk about how a 2nd term would be too stressful, and that he accomplished all he wanted to do the first time around.

And no, he doesn't seem to know jackshit about what the president entails, or how the Constitution works. The most basic shit that kids in middle school learn about. I mean, I'm not the least bit scared he'd actually be able to do anything, but it's really sad to watch.

100% he will push the narrative that the election was rigged if he loses. Because it will keep him in the news, allow him to dominate everything around the election whether he wins or loses, and inflame his base to the point of revolt. And a bunch of morons would march to war for him, and he's just thumbing through tabloids and watching every TV show for a mention of him, not even caring about what's going on outside is door.

Honestly speaking, I didn't know he was a real person and thought he was a character like Jim Varney's Ernest.

In Back to the Future 2 Biff Tannen's billiionaire persona was explicitly based on him. Yeah.

History will remember the era from 2000-2020 as the era where libertarians and conservatives all collectively decided to commit suicide. Because they're retarded.
I have heard long tenured kiwis state the exact opposite because..... reasons? Small world.

Do it lol

That’s Larry Cook, head of the Stop Manditory Vaccination group. He needs to eat a bullet immediately

I wonder if he will take a vaccine for COVID once it comes out and Trump (hopefully) tells him to.

Also, this is mind boggling. I can't imagine a single person outside family I might take a bullet for, but especially not a politician. I loved Bernie and even sent him money, but he's on his own if someone tries to shoot him.

That bitch is gonna fall over dead any day anyway, I'd send him money but I wouldn't even take a punch for him.

Nah, he's just an enormous fucking cuck. Imagine taking a bullet for anyone who isn't a blood relative, and even then....

Cucking for a politician :story:

I also love how these groupies think any criticism of Trump is a sign of TDS. We all know Donald is a thoughtful, compassionate human being whose never egoistical, spreads misinformation/conspiracy theories, and absolutely has the needs of the people in mind. After all , he's done such a great job getting the wall built and protecting free speech for his supporters online.

@Cosmos said it before , but Trump is a lolcow with millions of dollars. He would easily have his own subthread here if he didn't have the sheen of being a celebrity/cultural icon.
