They do in the education field, in most public school/university systems anyway, not that that should be shocking in this current year. Some will even have you answer "What does diversity mean to you?" or something like that. They want to make sure that you're comfortable and capable of serving staff and students of all racial, cultural, economic, etc backgrounds... and screen you for being a true believer.

That's a good idea. Instead of reactionary policing, they can be proactive, really take the "protect" part of "protect and serve" to heart. We'll call them the Protection Squad or Defense Echelon or something like that. Since blue is forever poisoned by its association with police, the new unit can wear black shirts to symbolize Black Lives Matter. Or brown shirts, I don't care. Once we abolish prisons, they can also operate the camps where we put all the enemies of the colored folk for their reparation labor.

The purpose of this isn't to keep items being sold. It is to show businesses/everyone how much money comes from black consumers by not buying products for one day.

Americans definitely have a culture, they just don't realize it because the news are very America-centric. The contrast is huge if you go outside the country. It is true that Americans seem to hate themselves and their culture, though. Self flagellation is hip right now, it's bullshit.

I think it would help a lot if the media promoted peace instead of trying its hardest to start a race war. These riots gained traction almost entirely because of fake news.

The simple act of reading to your kid is a bonding moment and is a sweet and simple thing to do as a family. It also has the practical benefit of putting the little noise machines to sleep.

Credit to the author of the article for at least putting this at the end: "In general, I tend to believe that focusing on improving things for the less fortunate is a better way to advance our society than purposely making things worse for those who have more, but what do I know? After all, it’s not like I’m a philosopher or anything." so at least she's not advocating to abolish bedtime stories or some shit.

It'd help but..a lot of things would help, lol, shoulda coulda woulda; doesn't matter much, the media profits off of this and they all have a strange form of left-wing ideology fostered by extremely sheltered and pampered lives leading to their drive to keep the narrative - honestly them getting attacked by police is something they just love in reality.

I've never stopped desiring those civil outcomes and optimistic happenings, but I've long stopped expecting them - ever.
