Boyega is using this an excuse. He broke the CARDINAL RULE of Hollywood:
NEVER trash the studio when the film you did turns out to be complete shit, especially if that studio is Disney.

Every other studio saw him do that. He's fucked. His career was over long before the BLM protests, and now he's using the race angle to try and weasel his way back onto the call sheet.
I don't know about that... Star Wars social media has posted his speech.
But we'll see. Jordan Peele has pledged to enact nepotism for him on Twitter, so I'm sure he'll be fine.

John Boyega was screaming through a megaphone that any blacks who talk about black on black violence are race traitors.
Did he seriously say that shit?

Tfw Terry Crews, a very talented, reasonable, and likeable man, gets torn up by the mob.

Don't bother looking at the replies, they're bad.

Also, Twitter users are probably 2% of the world population at best. On top of that, there are very few posters on Twitter compared to ones that just like and retweet stuff.
And of the ones that actually do post, a fraction of a fraction of those make it through the algorithm wall for anyone to even take notice. This is the kind of thing I have to remind myself of when you see the flood of 50k or so people that spend all day long liking and retweeting the same couple of Trump's Chosen. Most things that have been discussed in this thread will never reach the ears or eyes of the every day person, for the better and for the worse.

I dunno, perhaps my take on it is inaccurate, I just find it such a post is still there after four days, when basically all of Reddits recent history has been silence debate, crush and quell dissent and banhammer anyone not spouting popular opinion du jour. I'm more than happy to be corrected though if I'm wrong :)

Oh yeah, no, definitely; Reddit's a fucking shithole. To be fair though r/unpopularopinion isn't as bad or liberal as far as Reddit goes; granted all anyone on Reddit ever does is point fingers at admins and call them bigots until the wrong-think sub gets deleted or they post kiddy porn until the admins have no choice but to nuke it, some places skirt by though and are okay with representing right-leaning opinions. The mods are gay, no doubt; but the admin's have terminal AIDs.

In short everyone on Reddit is r/etarded.

From what I remember, America makes up just above 20% of the userbase, yet of that 20%, 2% make up over 90% of all the tweets. It's a bubble

Honestly, the events of recently have kicked me back into wanting to start reading books again, playing solo games, and other things.
Reading helps, I've been reading the great Gatsby again. I was forced to read it in school but it really struck a chord with me. Catcher in the Rye is also a favorite. Kingmaker Kingbreaker is a good series if you want to read something fantastical and not well known, weather magic is neat.

Me and my fiance were getting ready to replay Resident Evil 5 before all this. The Africa setting is uh, kind of ironic now.

Actually, yes.
This kind of shit makes me so angry since I like to hike and camp around areas that are often full of bears. They're beautiful creatures, and seeing one 300+ yards away in binoculars is exhilarating. People doing this kind of shit, especially with food, makes that much more dangerous for both people and bears.

They do wander into towns sometimes though especially if they're hungry or finding new/their own area. That's pretty normal for black bears.

Every tag about white people, anything boomer related, anything related to something semi-political that wasn't narrative driven BLM support was completely flooded with the same 5~ or so videos being posted. Now, this has been going on for a while. Kpop shit has been trending for a couple of years now, but never was it such a concerted effort of the same couple of videos and pictures being used. They seemingly only used a couple of profile pictures, and the text they used was basically the same jargon with an edit or two, for 60k+ posts on a tag.

The thing that really gets me is the amount of them openly using Chinese, and how they default to using it when they actually DO argue with someone. I riled up a couple of them, only for them to bombard me with 5 or so of them posting, eventually leading them posting a bunch of Chinese saying that they could insult me however they wanted and I'm clearly a stupid American that won't understand them. Donning my tinfoil, I think it's China taking advantage of America burning to further sew dissent, using Koreans pop culture to mask who they actually are so if anyone did point fingers, they wouldn't point it at China. As far as I'm aware, and I could be mistaken, China hates Korea, yet every time weird Asian text popped up, it was inevitably Chinese characters.
I don't think this is necessarily the case. I've had the pleasure of interacting with a couple kpop stans in those merch shops in Koreatown and they're for the most part young women. This is pretty much the same demographic that loves armchair activism on Twitter, so it would be be a little premature to call this manufactured by China.
Do you have any screenshots of the posts, because for the life of me I can't find any.
