This is probably a conversation we can move or hold somewhere else, but this is why I said what I said about religiosity vs. spirituality. Because some people need religion to guide their lives, to live well, and to find meaning. Others don't but still find a sense of peace in certain spiritual practices. Like a form of Pascal's wager, you might as well pick a Religion, with the best one being Christianity, because it's better than the alternative, we've seen what the alternative is and it's nothing good, it's what we have now, utter chaos, this is what America stepping away from Christian values has wrought, that is an objective fact.

A functioning society needs a Religion to keep it together, there needs to be a belief in a higher power to keep human beings in line, that's just how it is.

Now I'm not saying America needs to go full on Iranian revolution and instill a Handmaid's Tale style theocracy (that might be what happens though) but we do need to dial things back a bit to how they were.
