People just need to believe that there is purpose and meaning to life. Whatever that is can be a very individual thing. Nihilism has gotten us to where we are today. If nothing matters and it is all pointless, then killing, stealing, etc. aren't bad things. Nothing is.

Whether you believe that good choices in this life get you to heaven or you just think that good actions will leave a better society for your children or just future generations in general -- you need some higher purpose to inspire you to make choices that might even at times go against your own personal gain. If you have no concept of the "greater good", you get the Satanist ideology of "do what thou wilt". Putting self gratification at the center instead of the ideals of justice, equality, etc.

Religion is just one path to get you to strive for noble ideas, but it certainly isn't the only one.

We cannot know if what we believe in is true with absolute certainty. This is because we are imperfect creatures with imperfect senses. There's nothing wrong with questions about your beliefs, religious or otherwise, everyone who isn't a zealot does so. I would only say don't go to the other extreme and obsess over it constantly.

here's the cold hard truth about religion: answering deep questions about existence and the universe isn't the point. it doesn't really matter if you truly believe in it. what matters is the structure and order it provides for society.

like, personally, i'm an atheist. i don't believe in any religion. but i would gladly join a proper majority religion and profess to believe in its god and follow its rules and rituals, if one were present where i live, because i recognize that the sense of community, order, righteousness and morale that a religion can provide is extremely valuable and beneficial for society.
sadly the former majority religion in my country (christianity) is a complete joke, with the churches acting as little more than peddlers of government approved woke social propaganda. these are not serious organisations anymore, and don't offer what i'd want anymore. i have unironically considered converting to sunni islam, because those guys actually are serious and real about what they preach and practice - but islam is intrinsically linked with the millions of hostile third world subhumans currently invading my country, so that's completely off the table too.

Democratic Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz said the city’s response to the rioting was an “abject failure,” the Tribune reported. Democratic Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey echod Walz’s response, claiming the city was overwhelmed.

“We were on our own those first few nights. There were simply more people destroying property, more people setting fires, than any city government could respond to at once,” Frey said.

Frey has a news conference scheduled for Monday to announce the development of a group of business and community leaders to advise the city on rebuilding efforts, according to the Tribune.

Wyrobek said it’s “too late” to keep his company in Minneapolis, the move will take about 50 jobs with it, the Tribune reporte
