Honestly, I do feel somewhat bad for her. I think to some extent she did care about the stuff she made, cared about the content she made (fetishy or not), and I mean who doesn't want people kissing your ass and telling you your low effort art is the best thing ever? That's why people virtue signal to begin with -- they wanna be praised. It's unfortunate that the place she got her attention and love from was, for one thing, a place that had no interest in seeing her develop artistically. She obviously had no connections/friends that gave a damn about giving her advice on improving her art, either aesthetically or content wise. And possibly that also extends to the second unfortunate fact that she submerged herself into the horribly reactionary side of fandom, where saying someone needs to maybe get better at their art means you hate ugly people or something.

Even if optimistically she wasn't lying, then she deleted everything and ran because she fully submerged and built her brand in a horribly toxic community that either worships the ground you walk on or wastes no time in jumping your ass and putting your head on a pike. She had no issue with slamming any resistance to herself from smaller people, turning minor judgments or dissent from nobodies into a witch hunt, and just being really aggressive overall. And now the tables have turned and there's the risk that her overly reactionary and aggressive audience will try to eat her alive simply because she might be/is a cis woman that likes drawing trans women a lot, maybe for a fetish or maybe not(again, optimist).

Sometimes it takes having your whole world crumble down to realize you built yourself up on such an unstable, toxic, hate-fueled ground and see how much of an ass you were being and get better. And Destiny is still fairly young, so maybe she'll grow from this and learn to chill out for once.

Not to say that you personally agree with this kind of behavior, but doesn't Destiny and her ilk tend to do this same thing with people they disagree with. I know that there's the excuse of "oh, well those are the bad people", but I'm not quite sure what's the objective difference between someone from here documenting her public posts to laugh at with other shitheads of the same breed and for some self-proclaimed good people to obsessively dig through every mutuals' following and likes list to find any shred of wrongthink that they can throw back into their discord server and freak out about. Hell, some people do this so they can make public callout posts that then result in harassment, regardless of whether or not they condone it, which is another thing this site condemns openly, as well.

I stopped following this thread for a while because I honestly just can't stand looking at her art and the way people defend her, and I couldn't possibly have imagined it going where it did.

I can't understand why she would claim to be trans in the first place though, and how anyone believed it when she shows off her face and body constantly. I do remember she mentioned it once or twice on her Twitter before the nuke but she didn't say anything specific so I didn't really bring that up here. If she'd have shown any of the usual screenshot proofs or something I'd have shared it (as always) but nothing besides a mention of it here and there. Anyway, I have no clue what she counts as harassment but if I had to guess it was probably the usual "mean" comments and criticisms (otherwise she'd have shared it with her fans).
