They are reaching incredible levels of stupidity. The WHO says don't wear gloves, they wear them. The WHO says no masks, they wear them. They finished playing "virus" now they play let's riot and abolish the police. In the summer maybe they will have nice weather and not stay glued to their phones trying to reply to the latest twatter and will do something else. Then they will have the election and get excited about that. The 'silent majority' might keep Trump so that will make them excited again for a while.

If by a miracle they win, they will get excited and who knows what. I suspect they will be disappointed when a new party in power won't mean free cake for all.

Maybe also black pudding will be banned as it says black and goes against veganism.

People try to convince me that "natural ingredients" are better. Natural ingredients include arsenic and toadstools. But I agree not to ingest radioactive man-made isotopes. People are becoming very very stupid.

Hey, I like Twilight Zone as a show. Not as a tool for expressing your political views.

I thought a lot of the other episodes where he tackled social issues (under the guise of "sci-fi show") were pretty good. "I Am the Night, Color Me Black" was pretty good. Not AMAZING, but pretty good. My main issue with this episode I posted was the writing. It started off with a "oh man, where are they gonna go with this one?" vibe (as they all do). But as soon as you saw the silhouetted man, you fucking KNEW who it was-- it just killed the rest of the show. I thought they should've had it so he's just a regular man, another face in the crowd. Or even better, have a moment where Dennis Hopper walks past a mirror and sees someone else in his reflection, but just for split second.
I loved how his character and the old Jewish neighbor had a backstory together, how his neighbor was a shelter from an abusive home life. THAT'S good storytelling. What ISN'T good storytelling is having a Hitler-shaped shadow talking in a strong Bavarian accent about how to be bigoted and racist, and then revealing it at the end like it's some unexpected twist. That's what Twilight Zone was all about! The ending was always the huge twist and it threw the audience for a loop.

Plus, all the little details for this one were just sloppy.
- Grassroots movement, but they can afford all the fancy uniforms and fucking 6 foot-tall posters?
- Lit torches inside an auditorium and the auditorium owner doesn't kick up a fuss?
- At NO point does Dennis' character step back and think, "Shit, am I going too far? Is this the right thing to do?" He just rolls with it completely.
- "I'm made out of steel!" Come the fuck on. That's your death rattle? Not "I was going to save us all" or something like that? It'd make him be a more tragic character if he really DID go nuts, or have a mental breakdown, and thought he was supposed to do this. Instead, he just blindly follows all the dumb shit Hitler tells him to do. This guy wasn't entirely without a moral compass; he was raised by his neighbor to be a good kid.

I'm getting way off-topic from this whole thread, but fight me on Twilight Zone any day.

He goes off the rails at the end when he uses opinion polls to describe FACTS about the exact amount of discrimination, but those are good points about community participation, 13/53 focusing on a tiny % of either population, and that crime rates look more like poverty than race. I always thought 13/53 was a low effort troll for how stupidly effective it is at getting people screeching. This guy is a credit to his blue checkmark.

Well, it's more optimistic than Tucker's take on the issue, namely that it's the reconstitution of police as a partisan body that enforces the will of the Democratic Party rather than anything the people actually want. Tucker's take is probably more likely though, because one-party rule with appointments based on political allegiance is the most common state of nations past and present, with the extent of liberty being whatever concessions the ruling party makes to avoid being the victim of a bloody revolution.

Just 300 years ago every nation on Earth was under the heel of some form of despotism with the sole exception of England (and maybe Switzerland) , such ideals being anything more than a pipe dream now is the owed entirely to Anglophone (this includes America obviously) dominance of the world. It's pretty obvious with this in mind that the natural state of nations is authoritarianism, and the sheer weight of entropy and human nature is bearing down upon this great historical anomaly.

Just saw a fundraiser set up for David Dorn's family, people in the comments were asking why the OP wasn't linking George Floyd's Gofundme since he was murdered by law enforcement and that makes his death 'worse'. George Floyd's Gofundme already surpassed 13 million dollars with people still donating at this very moment, the man got a gold casket and televised funeral but apparently that's still not enough? There were also people accusing donators of being racist, because apparently wanting to support the family of a 77 year old black police captain murdered for trying to stop looters makes you a racist *sigh*
