I think this issue of jail-bait occurs too frequently; IMO that means it's obvious that age of consent laws are criminalizing normal human sexual behavior. I've seen the studies that say the brain doesn't fully develop until age 25. I think this is a result of western culture. K-12 system + university put people into a mental prison from the age of 6 till 22. It takes people a few years IRL to start fixing their mental health. If you look into history, you will see that the word teenager didn't exist until ~1940s. Teenager is a product of high school, result of putting kids into prison. So their bodies grow but their minds are stunted. Arrested development? is that the term for this? I also want to abolish k-12 education for this reason but that's a different conversation.
