Also, all the people paying bail are handing it over to the very legal system they despise, and if the mass majority of the people they sprung defy going to court, that system keeps that money.
Many people that grift money, especially those discussed here, don't use it as intended and it's considered unacceptable to raise any issues about it. Still, your point is valid and there's a certain irony that theyre supporting the same system to which they claim they're so diametrically opposed.
Defunding the police is very unpopular. I think the Democrats will come unstuck if they stay in their echo chamber of John Oliver and Twitter.
These are the same Democrats that will double, triple, and multiple down on their pet causes, ideologies, and political platform even when they're unpopular. Worse, they're trying to win seats on the local level so they can implement their ideas such as no bail release and restorative justice so they can argue that it's working for them and it should be adopted at both the state and national levels as well even if it's a bad idea.
New York police boss Mike O'Meara went off on the media today:
I think he said what a lot of people have been thinking but were too afraid to say in today's call-out/cancel culture. There's a certain irony that certain activist African-Americans claim they don't want to be ashamed of their skin/race yet they have no problems trying to shame whites and others into guilt over imaginary "privilege" so much so the latter group is willing to abase themselves for no good reason.
My suspicion is they are pulling what Nixon did: let the other side provide the rope to hang themselves with so when the boiling point is reached, they can make the other side look so bad nothing they do to clean up the mess is near as bad in comparison.
It's also possible Trump knows more than he's letting on but won't tip his hand until he's ready to act (or even after he acts). If I recall, he launched an overseas air strike mission that the media and public didn't know about until he had his after-the-fact press conference because he didn't want to target to know in advance. Despite his larger than life personality, he has his moments where he knows when and how to be strategic.
I know this is a shock to some people, but it's not uncommon for foreign blacks to hate American blacks.
It's not uncommon to see them hassle the Nigerian students trying to get an education, bully the super dark kids for being too black, the light ones for being too light, and of course the 'oreos' for 'acting white' because god forbid they want a better future for themselves instead of living as victims.
These two ideas go hand in hand. The standard of living for many Africans is lower than those from other parts of the world, so it's understandable that those African citizens coming to America to better themselves would be shocked to see native residents actively squandering the opportunity to do just that.

I can't help wondering how this commune country is going to play out. Given these are the same people with no sense of long-term goals or planning, I can see it as a sustainable going concern of any sort. If this "country" is anywhere near lolcow ADF, I can envision them wanting to actively participate and act out their imaginary country fantasies while furthering their delusion that they're some sort of Antifa freedom fighter.
