U.S. Riots of May 2020 over George Floyd and others - ITT: a bunch of faggots butthurt about worthless internet stickers

Here's the list of demands. That is some impressive wall of autism there.

Oh boy, I am autistically angry too. Lets break this shit down boys and girls.

1.
The Seattle Police Department and attached court system are beyond reform. We do not request reform, we demand abolition. We demand that the Seattle Council and the Mayor defund and abolish the Seattle Police Department and the attached Criminal Justice Apparatus. This means 100% of funding, including existing pensions for Seattle Police. At an equal level of priority we also demand that the city disallow the operations of ICE in the city of Seattle.

What they are saying here is they demand the abolition of the Judicial branch of the US government, which essentially means a repudiation of the Constitution. Which tarded. No mention of what they want to replace it with, "yet".

2.
In the transitionary period between now and the dismantlement of the Seattle Police Department, we demand that the use of armed force be banned entirely. No guns, no batons, no riot shields, no chemical weapons, especially against those exercising their First Amendment right as Americans to protest.

They are demanding here that the Government surrender the monopoly on violence. the natural extension of this is that the protestors are not making a similar offer. Meaning these twats will hold the monopoly instead. Though to be fair, they already are in many of these liberal cities and it fucking shows.

3.
We demand an end to the school-to-prison pipeline and the abolition of youth jails. Get kids out of prison, get cops out of schools. We also demand that the new youth prison being built in Seattle currently be repurposed.

I can actually get behind this one to a large extent. It is reasonable to question why so many inner city children end up in Jail. But much like these children writing these demands, it should be the parents responsibility to discipline their children and too often they leave it up to the State instead.

4.
We demand that not the City government, nor the State government, but that the Federal government launch a full-scale investigation into past and current cases of police brutality in Seattle and Washington, as well as the re-opening of all closed cases reported to the Office of Police Accountability. In particular, we demand that cases particular to Seattle and Washington be reopened where no justice has been served, namely the cases of Iosia Faletogo, Damarius Butts, Isaiah Obet, Tommy Le, Shaun Fuhr, and Charleena Lyles.

This demand contradicts their first demand that the attached courts systems be abolished. I suppose they could claim they meant the State courts and not the Federal, but I question if they thought through the distinction. If they do mean this though, then Point 1 abolishes local rule, and this point surrenders Seattle to Federal control. And Donald Trump. So yeah, I don't think they thought it through at all.

5.
We demand reparations for victims of police brutality, in a form to be determined.

Give us money. We don't know how much or to whom. Give it to us and we will let you know when its enough. (its never enough).

6.
We demand that the City of Seattle make the names of officers involved in police brutality a matter of public record. Anonymity should not even be a privilege in public service.

It already IS a matter of public record. All police records are public records. Maybe instead of burning down the police precinct you go there with a FoIA request. Morons.

7.
We demand a retrial of all People in Color currently serving a prison sentence for violent crime, by a jury of their peers in their community.

I would assume everyone in jail already had a trial by jury or just plead guilty. So...I can only conclude what they mean by this is a retrial, only this time one run by their "peers". AKA the people writing this wall of autism. I wonder what would happen next :pikachu face:

8.
We demand decriminalization of the acts of protest, and amnesty for protestors generally, but specifically those involved in what has been termed “The George Floyd Rebellion” against the terrorist cell that previously occupied this area known as the Seattle Police Department. This includes the immediate release of all protestors currently being held in prison after the arrests made at 11th and Pine on Sunday night and early Saturday morning June 7th and 8th, and any other protesters arrested in the past two weeks of the uprising, the name Evan Hreha in particular comes to mind who filmed Seattle police macing a young girl and is now in jail.

This is an attack on equal protection, AKA the 14th amendment, that the laws be faithfully executed without favor or prejudice. Not so long ago when people were protesting an end to the COVID shutdowns, these same people were shrieking about how evil right wingers would kill us all. What they are saying here is that the law does not apply, so long as you subscribe to the correct belief system and are performing the correct social rituals. This is an all out attack on a fundamental principle of American law.

9.
We demand that the City of Seattle and the State Government release any prisoner currently serving time for a marijuana-related offense and expunge the related conviction.

Dude Weed LMAO. But I actually agree with this one.

10.
We demand the City of Seattle and State Government release any prisoner currently serving time just for resisting arrest if there are no other related charges, and that those convictions should also be expunged.

On the one hand, this seems like a silly demand, but on the other I know for a fact cops routinely claim someone is "resisting" as an excuse to justify "legally questionable" arrest in the first place. A more nuanced approach would be to demand reform going foreword, not trying to retroactive redo everything.

11.
We demand that prisoners currently serving time be given the full and unrestricted right to vote, and for Washington State to pass legislation specifically breaking from Federal law that prevents felons from being able to vote.

Absolutely not. The right to vote is tied to a citizens ability to faithfully respect the laws and customs of the society that grants him that vote. Those who work against society cannot be trusted with the awesome responsibility of choosing the leaders of that society. I would even argue Americas voting franchise is too broad already, and should be limited more, not less.

12.
We demand an end to prosecutorial immunity for police officers in the time between now and the dissolution of the SPD and extant justice system.

This demand is irrelevant as the police don't have prosecutorial immunity. It also goes on to autistically repeat point 1. Okay.

13.
We demand the abolition of imprisonment, generally speaking, but especially the abolition of both youth prisons and privately-owned, for-profit prisons.

I agree with getting rid of Private Prisons, but to replace them with a State run prison there needs to be an extant justice system. So this demand contradicts point 12 right above it, and the very first point of the demand letter. Not making a good case for taking you seriously random commie committee that wrote this screed.

14.
We demand in replacement of the current criminal justice system the creation of restorative/transformative accountability programs as a replacement for imprisonment.

This point contradicts point 13, just above it, unless you try and read into it more about "restorative/transformative accountability programs". I read this and I think they mean things like the social justice tribunals that presently exist on college campuses. They are essentially demanding we replace our judicial system with a SocJus ideological kangaroo court. This is a point I am not only unwilling to agree with, I am actually willing to take up arms to fight, and possibly kill the people who wrote this demand if they even get close to implementing it.

15.
We demand autonomy be given to the people to create localized anti-crime systems.

Surrender the monopoly on violence to local militias, run by us. How about no.

16.
We demand that the Seattle Police Department, between now and the time of its abolition in the near future, empty its “lost and found” and return property owned by denizens of the city.

If this is a demand to end civil forfeiture then I am all for it. But I don't think that is what they mean.

17.
We demand justice for those who have been sexually harassed or abused by the Seattle Police Department or prison guards in the state of Washington.

Okay. But I bet you will also demand your SocJus tribunal carry out the justice, since, you know, you want to abolish the legal system.

18.
We demand that between now and the abolition of the SPD that each and every SPD officer turn on their body cameras, and that the body camera video of all Seattle police should be a matter of easily accessible public record.

Again they ARE public record. Jesus Christ. Did not one of your communist professors teach you about the FoIA?

19.
We demand that the funding previously used for Seattle Police be redirected into: A) Socialized Health and Medicine for the City of Seattle. B) Free public housing, because housing is a right, not a privilege. C) Public education, to decrease the average class size in city schools and increase teacher salary. D) Naturalization services for immigrants to the United States living here undocumented. (We demand they be called “undocumented” because no person is illegal.) E) General community development. Parks, etc.

Give us free shit. I guarantee you however the entire police budget is insufficient for providing even 10% of what is demanded here.

ECONOMIC DEMANDS

1.
We demand the de-gentrification of Seattle, starting with rent control.

AKA, kick whitey out of Seattle. Don't worry, you commie fucks and your city government enablers have this goal well in hand.

2.
We demand the restoration of city funding for arts and culture to re-establish the once-rich local cultural identity of Seattle.

I HAVE A DEGREE IN PERFORMATIVE DANCE THAT I TOOK OUT LOANS FOR AND NOBODY WILL PAY ME TO DO IT! GIVE ME MONEY NOW!

3.
We demand free college for the people of the state of Washington, due to the overwhelming effect that education has on economic success, and the correlated overwhelming impact of poverty on people of color, as a form of reparations for the treatment of Black people in this state and country.

I am questioning the value of college at this point if this is the result. Also GIVE ME MONEY

4.
We demand that between now and the abolition of the SPD that Seattle Police be prohibited from performing “homeless sweeps” that displace and disturb our homeless neighbors, and on equal footing we demand an end to all evictions.

Here they demand designated shitting streets and commie block housing. Also lynch the landlords.

5.
We demand a decentralized election process to give the citizens of Seattle a greater ability to select candidates for public office such that we are not forced to choose at the poll between equally undesirable options. There are multiple systems and policies in place which make it impractical at best for working-class people to run for public office, all of which must go, starting with any fees associated with applying to run for public office.

Here they are demanding that all elections in Seattle be run by the central committee of the party. Which will of course be equitably drawn from the various communes. I am sure it will work great, just like in Mother Russia circa 1920.

HEALTHCARE DEMANDS

1.
We demand the hospitals and care facilities of Seattle employ black doctors and nurses specifically to help care for black patients.

Reimplement racial segregation healthcare. Black people need to go to the black hospital, and white people need to go to the white hospital. At no point should the races mix. :story:

2.
We demand the people of Seattle seek out and proudly support Black-owned businesses. Your money is our power and sustainability.

Those same businesses you looted I am assuming?

3.
We demand that the city create an entirely separate system staffed by mental health experts to respond to 911 calls pertaining to mental health crises, and insist that all involved in such a program be put through thorough, rigorous training in conflict de-escalation.

Holy fuck a reasonable demand. Its like finding corn in a pile of shit.

EDUCATION DEMANDS

1.
We demand that the history of Black and Native Americans be given a significantly greater focus in the Washington State education curriculum.

lol, what history. Washington State was settled by largely Norwegian and Swedish immigrants. And the only major impact of note the Native Americans had on the States history was a few skirmishes with the US Army.

2.
We demand that thorough anti-bias training become a legal requirement for all jobs in the education system, as well as in the medical profession and in mass media.

We demand our ideology be used to indoctrinate all civil servants going foreword. How about no you commie fucks.

3.
We demand the City of Seattle and State of Washington remove any and all monuments dedicated to historical figures of the Confederacy, whose treasonous attempts to build an America with slavery as a permanent fixture were an affront to the human race.

They do know Washington State was a Union State, right? How many monuments to the confederacy are there? Any at all? If there is even one I would find it strange.

My brain hurts now.

Users of TV Tropes have applauded at least one action that these rioters have done, namely the tearing down of the Columbus statue:
meh, i'm okay with this

there's no reason to 'celebrate' him here in the first place
most of what he is known for was false anyway

keep him in the history books, remind people that he was a prick
and that the "italian"-americans need to find a new fucking hero

These fucking nutless little cretins don't have the physical or mental capacity for it.they just think that it's as easy as toss some seeds in the ground and pick it a week later

Um, I think sir, you are wrong, for that is how it works in video games which are accurate simulations of life. Furthermore,

I'm not super worried about the film being removed from some streaming service since there are still many other ways of seeing the film (buying the numerous physical releases, pirating, special screenings) but I do wish they'd just leave old movies alone in their attempts at virtue signaling. My only main worry is if these protestors start pointing this stupidity towards the National Film Registry, if that were to happen nobody should take it lying down.

For those that doesn't know, the NFR that is overseen by the Library of Congress every year adds 25 films to its list of "culturally, historically or aesthetically significant" American motion pictures to promote preservation efforts (they basically mark films important to preserve for future generations). In its first year (1989) Gone with the Wind was among the very first films to be assigned to the list, so no matter how much these protestors try and erase the film, it has been deemed an important part of American cultural history and is being preserved for future generations. Movies like D. W. Griffith's Birth of a Nation are also included in the collection due to it's historical significance.

If anyone's interest was sparked here's a link to what movies are included in the NFR, lots of amazing movies to check out if anyone needs a break from the thread :). There's also a wonderful documentary made that goes into more detail about the history of the NFR, a look at film preservation, films selected for the NFR and why. Luckily, there's a full rip on youtube that I found:

When is the Kiwi betting pool starting for how long these autonomous zones last?

I normally don't put much stock in conspiracies but the events from the summer of 2019 all the way up until now have definitely made me question a lot of things.

The "deep state" is something that has more or less been an open secret since the start of the Cold War, and some of the "right-wing conspiracy theories" were eventually proven true like the KGB takeover of academia and the WHO being China's mouthpiece. The stuff around Epstein was so fishy that even the SJW autists at TV Tropes had to admit he didn't kill himself and the whole thing seemed off.

Given what all has been happening, I think there probably is some sort of internal civil war in the "deep state" right now and this insurrection is more or less tied to it and the neoliberals in the upper echelons of society are using Antifa and BLM as convenient shock troops and also as potential fall guys/scapegoats in case it all backfires on them.

Some schadenfreude for everyone to enjoy:

To add some information and my own advice:

Singapore is a nothing fucking place, but compared to surrounding South East Asian countries, it's been made stable by strong institutions and rule of law. Some people might criticize this and the former prime minister LKY, but the fact is he recognised this issue and built Singapore to the height of what it is now. It's grown into a major financial and trading hub, and a major factor for this is that people feel safe to move their capital and foreign direct investments there, compared to places like China. Singapore has also been used to access and go into other neighbouring countries such as Malaysia or Indonesia.

Corporations may have their marketing teams bending the knee to these pieces of shit, but the fact is when they see the riots destroying their capital, disrupting their business, and politicians trying to neuter the police and change how the police operate , these businesses will revaluate and choose locations they feel are more stable and are able to invest regardless of what they'll BS on social media. Not only are we likely to see new hubs grow, but we will likely also see a lot of people move. People like Californian faggots moving to more stable areas and fucking it up has been a complaint for Texans and others, but it's likely to happen if new hubs for production etc. are developed.

MPLS and Chicago will turn into the next Detroit and be wasteland for generations. The Somalians will feel right at home.

Does the geneva convention apply to that place?

It's still up, and probably will be until the police can be arsed to take back the streets.
I'm referring to its overall stability. I don't expect this shit to be dissolved by the cops or anyone any time soon without accusations of oppression, racism, etc, but its amusing seeing how rapidly they've already lost control and their dear leader went kaput.

So they tried to create their own "free zone" living on the streets, and within two days the homeless, much more savvy to surviving this way, fucking stole all their food. That's hilarious, I want to die laughing, props to the homeless people. They need that food more than many of the people in this "free zone." This is what happens when you drop out of high school, and don't stay long enough to see in world history, the results of many revolutions. How do you want to be unarmed and yet declare war against the United States? All I can say is good luck on destroying yourselves, you have already destroyed the legitimacy of your movement by acting like a dumb-dumb baby.

This CHAZ thing really shows how privileged a majority of these people are. They bring vegan snacks like it's a sleepover and then demand more for donations after they eat it all and get it stolen by actual homeless people. But they don't see how they want to be "independent", yet completely dependent at the same time on the government or those around them? Do they want communism? You know in communism you actually have to work to contribute to your nation. Would love to see them go to Russia or China a few decades ago, when eastern bloc was still the USSR. And they think racism is bad enough to start their own community in USA, check out how bad it is in other countries. Yes, maybe USA racism is indeed bad enough to warrant protesting. But to open your own colony in the middle of the street? You really don't want to see what happens when the society, that protects you and lets you protest without outright killing you, collapses because you destroyed it. There is a reason people from around the world move to United States, regardless of how shitty it is when they get here, because it is better in USA, than in a lot of other places.

Farm sperg but I feel like a mixture of laughing and screaming when they say "we will just grow food for nutrients and make money selling the rest!!" my god they are SO far removed from reality, from how to be independent, with a basic and skewed understanding of the systems that keep them alive. It's almost offensive. Idiots would have needed to be preparing their crops months before George Floyd had even dies, to have enough food and at the proper time to feed their party. They think they can just bury a seed and fucking grow because it's summer? Where are they gonna get all the water needed for the crops? Did they bring fertilizer? Stakes? Anything? Do they even know which plants can grow properly in their climate?

I have farmer in my family and work with them in the crops sometimes. It is rigorous, brutal work, though extremely rewarding. We do it all by hand, on the scale which these CHAZ people would probably like to have in their camp, making hundreds of different fruit, vegetables, beans and potato. What CHAZ don't understand is that a garden has to be tended daily, sometimes all day depending on how many helping hands, takes months to prepare and plant everything, and in one small mistake all of your crops can be gone the next morning...

Sorry for the farm sperg. It's just like, to claim to be woke, and then shit on the agriculture that provides your shitty vegan food, probably by underpaid workers of color in California or Florida suffering all day in the heat, by implying that to grow food it's so easy to just do it yourself...well it's not very woke! Tell it to the Ukranians or the Irish, or Chinese, farming is just so easy that we can choose to farm our own stuff and keep it all for ourselves! I would say I wish some of them starve, to truly understand the price of breaking away from a society that has given you so much already, but I know that many will just go home to their mama or something when they run out of vegan burritos. The young American people, making a fool out of themselves right now. Guess they had to do something since their liberal arts schools are on permanent leave for COVID.

Oh goddammit, it never ends this shit.

Between this and the fight to take down the monument of General Lee in Virginia and the fact that 'Gone with the wind' is now a verboten film I'm beside myself.
They won't stop will they? Until every little piece of history they don't like is destroyed, erased or removed. God speed to you UK boys in keeping your monuments, it's a losing battle here in the southern US.
