Old tweet, but they've boycotted Harry Potter and are urging people to read Animorphs instead because the author's kid trooned out. I wouldn't be surprised if those books were the gateway drug for many of the furries/transformation fetishists out there (kids who can shapeshift into animals, if the title didn't give it away)

Seriously what is it with troons and foxes? Obviously a lot of the AGPs associate with the furry fandom as fetishes do tend to go hand in hand, but they all want to be foxes for some reason.
I think it has to do in some part to the strange nature of foxes. There's a joke that foxes are "Cat software running on dog hardware" and in a way that's actually true. Foxes evolved the way they did because there were no felines in the area, so they developed in a way to fill that same evolutionary niche in the ecosystem. So from that I think they feel a subconsious kinship with something that is one thing (canine), but doesn't quite fit what people expect of that thing.
That, or they just identify with an animal that pees everywhere and screams when it doesn't get its way.

animorphs? i loved those books back when i was in second and third grade lol, i read over a dozen of them at my local library back in the day.
looking back now, they were pretty fucking stupid. i remember one of the books had them go into an alternate timeline, back to world war 2, and for some reason in that timeline hitler was some lowly truck driver and the kids debated whether it was right to kill him lmao

Did we read the same thing??? It was super centrist and kind. Also, "don't read it, it's so bad, no no, don't check for yourself, just believe me".

> My perennial jumpiness is a family joke – and even I know it’s funny – but I pray my daughters never have the same reasons I do for hating sudden loud noises, or finding people behind me when I haven’t heard them approaching.

I need to get this out because otherwise I'll get MOTI instead of entertained by the twitter twats. I was abused by my father and behave in the same way as she describes here. I am currently pregnant with my first child, a girl. Fuck man, this really made me feel things.

Literally COMMANDING people to avert their gaze, and NOT read what Rowling wrote for themselves, so they can make their own educated opinion based on what is before them.

Fucking cult.

"Turn back! It's like looking into the eye of Medusa! All Trans will be turned to stone for merely gazing upon this blasphemy! Do NOT sully yourselves with the details, for I have done so for you, and I will teach you what you should be feeling over this!"

They're panicing, the essay was well reasoned and she was being emphatetic towards trans women but they can't let others see it. They're digging their own grave with their narc raging.
Unfortunately, the essay was also far too long for 90% of normies to read. So trying to control the narrative (the media has been backing them up on it) is going to be very effective.

Still, I think troons screeching how no one is allowed to read that essay is going to make people curious, what could be so horrible that they shouldn't even read it.

Absolutely, since even reading her original tweets was too much for some of them.

I was talking to some normie colleagues (one is a gay guy) and he was all "of course she's right, I don't know what people are upset about", so I assume he never met a troon before.

If it had been only troons screeching, you would have had a point. Unfortunately, there are a lot of women out there batting for the troons (I'll assume those are the ones who never actually had to deal with Stranger Danger In A Dress), and the entirety is the media is on their side. There have been no end to the articles in the mainstream media about how Rowling was "transphobic", and all the negative reactions she was getting from it. This essay will either be spun as "JK Rowling doubles down on being a dirty TERF" by the media, or buried outright and reported as a footnote on the digital equivalent of page 12, compared to the frontpage they gave to the controversy.

So I read through JK's essay, and honestly? I agree with just about everything she's said.

So many troons I've met seem unable to comprehend half the shit she is saying. She's right about biological sex, especially this bit:
So I want trans women to be safe. At the same time, I do not want to make natal girls and women less safe. When you throw open the doors of bathrooms and changing rooms to any man who believes or feels he’s a woman – and, as I’ve said, gender confirmation certificates may now be granted without any need for surgery or hormones – then you open the door to any and all men who wish to come inside. That is the simple truth.
I've said in another thread recently I'm a trans dude, and frankly she is VERY right about the certificates especially. It's dangerous for men to go to women's bathrooms and visa versa. The fact anyone can just SAY they are x and get away with it is abhorrent to me. I also love that most activists and tranny lovers will skip over this important part of her essay (as many other already said before me):
I believe the majority of trans-identified people not only pose zero threat to others, but are vulnerable for all the reasons I’ve outlined. Trans people need and deserve protection. Like women, they’re most likely to be killed by sexual partners. Trans women who work in the sex industry, particularly trans women of colour, are at particular risk. Like every other domestic abuse and sexual assault survivor I know, I feel nothing but empathy and solidarity with trans women who’ve been abused by men.
IMO JKR isn't even a "TERF" as many people claim (although from her feed I think she's identifying as one now?), I feel like a re/tard for falling for the "JK is a TERF" rhetoric, but from reading this and her past tweets, she's literally a normal woman who isn't falling for troon propaganda.
"Actual TERFS" I've experienced will actively push for all trannies to die unironically, JK just supports biological safety and actuals facts...good for her.

LOL troons are demanding that people don't read stuff from JK fucking ROWLING.

Good luck with that.
LMAO. With how much troons seem to adore her work, I wanna see how long it'll last before more "trans HP headcanons" come out, since that's all I've seen on my timelines.

In fact, if I can find the posts, I'll edit and attach ones that unironically say shit like "Let's ruin JK's Terfy day by rubbing our trans fingies on HP and headcanon EVERYONE as trans!!!"

vice versa? no.
like, what is a trans man gonna do to the actual dudes in there? jealously stare at their dicks while they're pissing? lol

unless you mean it's potentially dangerous for the trans man going in there, that would make some sense yeah

Although I can see the point @Corn Flakes is making about the piece being too long for most normies (which is depressing af, but anyway), I do wonder how much the shrieking of troons and their allies will make people all the more curious about it. Even if it's too long for them to read thoroughly at first, I can't imagine their disappointment scanning it casually, trying to find the horrific transphobia people are crying about, only to find... nothing

There was a fumbling attempt to buy the Harry Potter IP in a hostile takeover that died quickly and hilariously.

That's precisely what they mean. A transwoman in a female bathroom is a potential fox in the henhouse. A transman in a male bathroom is a potential sheep among the wolves.
