What I'm getting from this is that it's not okay to call someone on their shit writing when everything else they've made is (in the offended party's opinion) good. Which explains everything about Enter's own writing and his hugbox.
That, or ponies literally are the get-out-of-jail-free card for these people.

When they give examples of 'bad' episodes, it's always one Enter's talked about. I wouldn't be surprised if most of them had never even seen the episodes for themselves.

You should have expected that; they're incapable of thinking for themselves and expanding their horizons, pretty much.

You won't see them using, say, "Buddy's Day Out" as an example of a bad episode of a cartoon.

Somebody ought to submit the notecard idea to Car & Driver. God knows I can't understand why another BMW got top marks with all that text explaining their opinion in detail. I need a big, obnoxious chart coupled with a gigantic picture that takes up a full quarter of a page and a paragraph-long, humorless summary of thoughts crammed to the bottom like a crusty sock. Whoever said that Enter wasn't groundbreaking is a fucking liar.

They'd act like network execs in the 80s.

I recall at one point at the time there was an attempt to make a cartoon that was completely sanitized, had no conflict, no violence... you get the idea if you lived in the 80s, I guess. The show came in dead last in the ratings, because kids aren't stupid and can tell when something sucks.

If Growing Around manages to get to air, presumably the same thing will happen.

I've seen Once Course Meal, Pet Sitter Pat, Stuck in the Wringer, the Splinter, and A Pal for Gary and they were all bad. While they were bad, they weren't disturbing enough to have a content warning at the beginning of Animated Atrocities and weren't as bad as Enter made them out to be. For SpongeBob episodes he called good, I saw Bad Guy Club For Villains and thought it was mediocre and uneventful and I think it was undeserving for top 25 modern SpongeBob episodes. Patrick-Man!, Donut of Shame, and Hello Bikini Bottom! were reasonable choices for that list.

off topic but, the hub used to have DanVS it was pretty cool. And pushed the envelope for a kids show (i think I remember the term "murder" getting thrown in a few times as well as the main character threatening to hurt babies) it was pretty enjoyable and even bashed bronies. Sadly MLP overshadowed it and pushed it aside
