This is honestly pretty close to my opinion.
My ancestor fought for the Union in the Shenandoah Campaigns and the final march on Richmond.
But that was the point of the war - to reunify the fucking country; not go MEGA-VENGEANCE on the South so people 200 years later wouldnt have their feelings hurt. Could things have been done better? Yes, yes though could have. Reconstruction was full of fuck-ups.
However, even less inspiring is the fact that the people buttmad about statues of the losing team also fucking hate the winning team, they dont see the Union (re:USA) as heroic good guys, they see them as raycusts and ebul capitalists and would gladly burn the US flag too.
So fuck the weenies buttmad about a few statues of generals who lost a war. It says more on them that they are still sore over the losing team than it does about the southerners who trace their heritage to it.
Yeah and the OG Nazis had 3 major powers bearing down on them to finally unseat them.
This guy thinks that "the resistance" can take on the US armed forces, Cops and civilian militias with antifa and soundcloud rappers and win becuz good guys.
