As other posters have said, it's because more information came to light and the story developed. I, myself, very quickly went from "ACAB" to "nvm fuck niggers lol" as if slipping on a comfortable pair of old jeans.

I'm pissed off that an incident that, if it happened to a white person, would've only been on the local news has gotten global attention. It exposed the hypocrisy of the media with them saying "protesting for BLM won't increase Corona cases (and if it does it's white people's fault)". I'm pissed that they're making a guy, if died under other circumstances, into a fucking saint and held up to the likes of MLK, Malcom X, and Ghandi. There's so many things wrong with this situation and George Floyd and police brutality isn't even on the top of the list.

Yeah, I'm really hoping that doesn't happen. I saw more than one photo of the protests that said something along the lines of "You think this is bad, imagine what we'll do when/if they go free".
I've seen more than one lawyer social media kvetching that the case isn't as solid with the increase in charges. I've seen the total opposite said too.

The charges won't be enough untill all four are charged with 1st degree and most of the evidence got burned. The main cop may get shipped down the river but the other three won't get the same punishment and that will piss the mob off.

I don't think anyone praising someone who literally wants them to suffer for eternity has any business telling anyone if they're going to heaven, never mind that she's proud of the fact that she manipulated her grandmother so brazenly (or at least thinks she managed to). No one is talking about the fact that one of the cops who was there when Floyd died was African American or that one of the white cops who was there did volunteer work with Somali immigrants. The media is still saying Floyd's death was due to racism, but look at how diverse this crew is:

assuming the judge and jury are actually impartial (bold assumption i know) they can't convict him on anything that requires intent to kill, so no murder conviction.
they can get some kind of reckless/negligent manslaughter for chauvin, maybe for the other officers too if they treat them as accomplices to chauvin (but that's a stretch i think) but that's it. the mob won't like it, but the cops will know the date in advance so they will be better prepared for BurnLootMurder 2 electric boogaloo
