So the fact that someone's rightfully complaining about the double standards that one dead man (who was a POS while he was alive) gets while everyone else is still expected to "follow social distancing measures" makes people "upset"? And he's apparently Muslim too? You can't make this shit up.

Doesn't surprise me to be honest. With the majority of academic and science institutions being run by leftists and generally against conservative/libertarian viewpoints I'm surprised it hasn't happened sooner.

Scientists are supposed to examine their biases to try to weed out cultural and personal influences on their work. This is... going in the complete opposite direction. Why is everybody overcompensating so hard? Last I checked there are still scientists and researchers in subsaharan Africa, and they don't seem too worried about "white supremacy" in science.
What's next? Ignoring scientific theories because they're not politically acceptable? Dismissing theories because they're "white science"? Someone has tried it before. It resulted in a lot of death.

Where to begin? This is low, very low, even for Black Lives Matter. I know science isn't perfect, but it's a lot better than what these assholes want to replace it with! This is the sort of anti-intellectualism in the black community that I'm talking about. I almost wanted to make a post that would have rightfully gotten me a MATI rating, but I won't go there. I've made enough spergy replies in this thread already.
I had to rate that post horrifying Shaka, because it really does horrify me. I know it's not just Black Lives Matter pushing this shit. Their fellow travelers Me Too and Anitfa share this nasty regressive mentality.

On the bright side, at least Nature playing their hand like that leaves their publishing bias very obvious. So if you see anything in the field of social sciences or psychology being published there, you know exactly where they're coming from with it. Better someone you know hates you than the someone who insists they're your friend while holding a knife to your back.

Tonight's double feature: TWITTER BOT MAYHEM
Part 1:
Here's a bot that smashes two images together at random. Today it made this.
Naturally, people immediately assumed it was racist because when they see a monkey, they think of a black person. Cue them getting angry at a Twitter bot.
Part 2:
Here's a bot that just reposts top-voted meme images on Reddit. A few days ago, it posted this.
Naturally, people assumed it was racist because it used race as a bait-and-switch joke. Cue them getting angry at both the Twitter bot and original poster. The bot's creator caved and has since deleted it.
Here's a fun game for both: try to guess the number of times "yikes" shows up in the comments and find out how close your estimate was.

Do you remember "fan clubs"? You sent them a letter and some money and they would send you back your fan club card and sometimes a shitty little xeroxed zine?
Yeah, these people were the target audience for those before the Internet. They did the equivalent of what our grandfathers did: masturbate to a single bare tit on a National Geographic magazine from age 14 to 19 because it was so hard to find proper porn in their small town. Only in their case it was sperging over Harry Potter to their friends or the local fanclub if they were looking.

If what on author says on social media bothers you that much, to the point it insults your identity (or lack thereof), maybe you should start practicing separating the art from the artist?
Or at the least stop giving children’s media so much agency over your life? I feel there are healthier ways to go about this than writing a Vox article.

With everyone talking about "death to the white man", "BLM", and cancelling anything related to cops, I wonder if people are gonna start "cancelling" Arabs, just like they did to the Chinks after Chinese flu spread around the world. After all, it was an Arab owned (or co-owned) store that called the cops on George Floyd.
Because I've seen idiots somehow saying that this means that the store owner and employees are also "responsible" for Floyd's death. As well as having some sort of "secret racist agenda" behind their decision to call the fucking cops over possible fake money.
