that's funny, proves just how much they slept through school considering in 6th grade my bumfuck nowhere school had a whole segment on the aztecs/inca/mayans and their interactions with the spaniards, like how they thought they were dead at first because of how white they were. And that Frisk looks really upsetting. Don't they do surgery on babies when they have cleft lips? I can't imagine leaving it at that could be confortable or healthy.

See I thought the same thing but comparing the pics, the hair and skin tones don’t match up. I can’t tell what they were going for.
Something else to keep in mind; Ian has this weird thing about how art should be unrestrained. In his eyes, if you can recognize what the character is, it’s on model.
So it’s half simplified for kids, half “muh artstyle/stylization!”
This sums up 90% of Internet drama once you finally get to the source.

On the one hand I respect that, because some shows
But on the other hand, when it's not being done for a stylistic choice or because animation is fluid, but because the artists blocked their scene in 5 seconds and now Steven Universe is shorter than his kitchen island when in other episodes it's at his waist, that is irritating as shit.
