The true believers (people like Vex, ShugoWah, CaseyExplosion, etc.) are probably going to bitch and moan about it. But they're the same type of people so far down the rabbit hole that they've made it their duty to not enjoy anything if it's not 100% with their values and/or the creator was canceled in the past. The others will go back to whining about the next issue of the month to stay in the in group with their furry friends so they don't get banned from cons/meets/websites controlled by a small group.

I didn't even know furries gave a shit about that game. e621 was flooded with porn of the new Lombax from Ratchet and Clank. While that game might be written by the same woman who got meme'd on for virtually being raped in GTA and went on to write Anthem, furries are embracing the new female Lombax as you'd expect.

I think this speaks volumes of what furries would rather have in their games. They care more about yiff material than token characters. That shitty dino game might have had a nonbinary voice actor, but Ratchet and Clank has waifu material for them. It's just like Animal Crossing and Raymond.

Also, if furries want a shitty furry VN there's plenty of those out there that make with the fucking, they have that whole genre down. The R&C games are actual games, and more often than not pretty fun.

At this point I think Furry's going to stay performatively woke for a while. Everyone with a shred of differenthink is being driven out.

Have you ever noticed that games that furries all embrace tend to not be made by furries, and have mainstream/non furry appeal as well? There's a few exceptions such as Dust: AET, Freedom Planet (maybe), and a few made by developers that are lowkey furries. But most furry games tend to be crude sex simulators or VNs.

The only places where it won't be woke from what I've seen are in the fringes of the fandom, and even then as the fandom pushes more people out you're going to see more "not a furry" people pop up who choose to distance themselves from the fandom.

I think it's less "made by non furries" or "lowkey furries" and more about not making the whole game revolve around the characters being furries or it being a "furry game". Like shitty VNs may be made by furfags who want to shove in their OCs (like Major/minor where the creator confessed he wanted his OC on steam cards), Freedom planet started as a sonic fangame and the devs are huge fans of the franchise, they set out to make a game with furry characters, emphasis on making a game.
VNs and walking simulators tend to attract pretentious dipshit "writers" who just want to "Tell a story" and have little to no valuable skills, but this is not exclusive to furries anyways.
In short I think you can divide "furry games" in two categories"
A. Devs wanted to make a game
B. Devs wanted to shove their masturbatory fantasies upon others/stroke their egos.

Many people join the furry fandom because they're already considered outcasts in society (either in actuality, or just simply in their own heads) and feel they need a place full of other outcasts misfits, and freaks to fit in with, and many feel that the furry fandom is an "escape" from that high school-esque social ladder mindset (the goth/rivethead scene was just like this from the 90s up until about a decade ago), only to find out soon enough that the furry fandom has that same social ladder hierarchy as high school did. Essentially, the furry fandom is just like high school all over again only with cartoon characters and sexual degeneracy. It's simply just another trap for poor misguided souls, and like all traps in this world, it can and will ruin your life.....

Plus now everyone's on the internet these days and joins these communities so their behavior gets normalized and they egg each other on to do more crazy shit.
