I agree completely with your critique of our society, though. I am grieving the country, to a certain extent, knowing that what we had is lost forever, and we are moving to a dumber, darker new type of society. On the other hand, we reap what we sow. Conquest? By who? Some beaners hoppin' the fence? Eh. Much more likely is balkanization - de facto subnations in the US further drifting from one another, bringing into full question what the national attitude and culture even is. A breakdown in debts and the ability to do anything provides either a ripe opportunity for a dictator or for these subnations to pull apart, absent a strong central authority that can (or wants to) corral them. Dictatorship strikes me as unlikely in a country with as many guns as this one, unless you just want to become dictator of some coastal cities. Letting the coastal, urban areas crack off into small sub-states that then proceed to see their economies shellacked and ruined as the smart money leaves and the grifters rush in -- ooh, that'd be tasty.

But realistically, eh, I don't think something fun like invasion or balkanization is ever going to happen. Just a slow, managed decline -- the debt bubble burst crashes this industry of grifters and parasites, but there's too few people who really work for a living to ever build up what once was again.

It make more sense for the cities to turn into city states and rest of the nation does its own thing. Or burn down the cities completely, let them go through with it. Because this is a perfect storm of every grievance since the 1960s all being unleashed at once. The left wing has normalized a lot of things and now its trying to have its KKK reign phase. Its like the 1920s where society is dominated by one group but thanks to the secret ballot, we vote in politicians to counter them. Trump can still win 2020 if the integrity of the secret ballot is kept intact. If that is fucked up then its civil war or balkanization then. And all these left wingers will be murdered by the right out in the rural areas if they decide to run out of the cities if it gets to that civil war era stage of destruction.

My own potato and beans garden is at least twice or Four times as big as that, it's not even enough for one familly to feed, and my soil is turned 30 centimeters deep by hand, also, do they really expect to grow healthy tomatoes that aren't going to rot mid way their growth without a greenhouse ? How are they going to take care of insects / bugs, slugs ? Can't wait to see them giving up at the first sign of real difficulties...
