Gotta follow guidelines. If I find evidence of plagiarism, I have to report it. Like as not, they will be the ones to scare her straight and she'll end up on academic probation, which means she gets to stay in school and she will still be eligible for financial aid.

Not for your final paper, no, unless your thesis is comparative styles and the comfort of interchangeability in genre fiction.

You know I'm usually on top of stuff like this but what did Connor plagiarize? We all know RE was unoriginal, but I don't remember that he outright stole paragraphs from other work because I feel like shit and anyway I think I wasn't in the thread when you guys found that out.

There were scenes and characters lifted directly from Silence of the Lambs. Connor never copied things word for word to my knowledge, but he did modify dialog and descriptions to fit his needs. And characters received the Connor Treatment to make them "better".
