One example mentioned in that Huffpost article is Lori Harvey, a black celebrity from Atlanta. Harvey criticised the burnings and lootings (archive) after two businesses, which were founded and owned by two friends of hers (both black women), were destroyed. Harvey then got shat on on social media for this, because she had never spoken about BLM or George Floyd previously.
Yet, the justification for the looting and destruction is always that these businesses are not owned by black people, they are intruding in the community and don't belong there (only source for this I can think of is a black woman speaking at the end of the John Oliver episode about BLM, but I'm assuming it's the party line general sentiment going around). I don't get it.

Yea. I've taken the darts, and the drive stun from both LE and commercial Tazers. If you've got good sustained contact across your torso, you're going down, but it's really hard to keep that contact without the barbs. You can take a drive on a limb without being incapacitated. It does hurt waaaay more than the commercial ones, but if you're drunk and motivated you can gut it out (experience).

The multi-shot tazers are news to me. My experience with them is over a decade old.

Without a cartridge a Tazer can give a contact drive stun, but that's mostly just painful. You're going to have a real hard incapacitating someone with it.

The fact is, once the dude fired and missed with the Tazer, he was no longer a threat from a distance. But you'd have to have a cool head to recognize that once you've got the adrenaline flowing.
