"Said" isn't going to cut it in a tenure hearing. You can praise the 9/11 terrorists and call for the death of half the country and it's protected.

Hopefully his declaration of war on Facebook is real and he thinks he can make them fire him by making things messy. He'll quickly find out just how many "allies" he truly has in academia if his plan is to try and take down the department and school with himself. Even the dumb academics will realize pretty quickly Rhys is the toxic one here. It's a good way to get himself blacklisted out of actual cushy jobs too. He's even compiling the type of record that causes the usual Troon Defense to backfire. As has been noted, he seems to forget that he's white still. And Canadian White at that.

His colleagues might detest him, but they might also be slow to facilitate the University it getting rid of someone that does have tenure.

I'm getting a similar vibe on the thread to the one that exists on Adrian Harrops, in that people are assuming professional bodies will behave in a rational and responsible way.
