As an non-American, I can see the worth in visiting certain places in California. I'd love to hit the different breweries up and down the coast, go fishing for humboldt squid, do wine country, that type of stuff. I can even see the appeal in checking out San Fransisco even if it is an expensive shithole that is filled with homeless, hipsters and failed beatniks as it is a scenic town.

But I dont see the worth in LA. People I have interacted online with from LA always come across as vapid and obnoxious assholes, every American online I've interacted with not from LA thinks LA is full of vapid and obnoxious assholes which leads me to believe it most likely is. Throw in the sprawl, the traffic, the air pollution and the earthquakes on top of all the vapid and obnoxious assholes and I'm of the opinion that jacking off with a fistful of bullet ants would be a more pleasant experience for me then visiting LA.

Hopefully someone pushes the Gunt into the La Brea tar pit so that future generations of scientists can get freaked out by the discovery of a new variety of human Homo Obesus Bibitor.

FYI; You are right. There are many great towns and cities in California but Los Angeles is the worst. It’s ugly sprawl with awful, shallow people. It is like a nuclear powered magnet for the most vapid ppl on earth, which isn’t surprising given half the ppl move there to try and get famous or because it’s warm and they are crazy, homeless drug addicts.

My last trip out to Palm Springs I ended up having to fly out of LAX and swore I would never set foot in it again.

The metropolitan areas are relatively clean, but they empty out after the business day is over, and it is surrounded by a sea of ghetto trash.

One thing about LA is many parts of it used to be very nice, but they became ghettos in the 60’s after some riots. You’ll see these Victorian style homes that used to be very beautiful around South Central. It’s a sad sight. It’s a harbinger of what our future holds if we allow things to continue this way.

I'm actually in Belgrade and can attest it is a very clean, safe, and beautiful place with a lot of sight seeing options. I was in Odessa before and that is also a phenomenally beautiful city. I was hoping to see L'viv and Kiev before leaving but I never had the chance to travel interstate. Prague, Krakow, and Kaliningrad are on my list of "third-world shitholes" to visit.

There's nothing left in Kaliningrad worth visiting, since the entire old city was leveled and most of it turned into a park. The Russkies built the ugliest building on the site of the Castle, called the House of Soviets. If you haven't been yet, go to St. Petersburg. It's a truly beautiful city built on a monumental scale. The only problem is you'd need to deal with Russians, but outside of that you should be fine.

I think that there is more sympathy to null for showing his feelings to his community because he has voulentarily put an economic chain around his ankle, put his life essentially on hold, and deals with abuse, as well as excisement from communities he likes and institutions he admires for the sake of fun for himself and his users.

Conversely, someone like ralph who does what he does entirely to chase the dollar, with all activities obviously leading to that quite understandably does not warrant such sympathy. If he thought he could make money opening an onlyfans where he eats shit out of warskis ass they would both be doing that tomorrow.

Its funny how when people make sacrifices for you, you feel inclined to cut them some slack and comiserate with them a bit. That is why null gets the goodboy headpats and ralph gets the sacrificial blade on the harvest moon.
