So here's some interesting info on Rayshard Brooks, the Atlanta guy who passed out in the Wendy's drive-thru, tried to tase a cop, and got shot as a result. If you look him up in the
Clayton County GA court record system, you get a whole pile of cases, some of which were not included in the
previously discussed rap sheet. The most interesting of these is case
2016CR01606 09 (
archive) which shows that Rayshard received a one year suspended sentence and three years probation in August 2016, and then:

I'm no lawyer, but that looks like Rayshard fucked up his probation somehow in 2018 and had an arrest warrant issued, he got picked up on that warrant on Jan 29, 2020, and then he begged and pleaded well enough in his probation revocation hearing to not get tossed back in jail. A DUI three months after getting yet another chance from the court though? That could have been enough to get him put back in jail to serve his original one year suspended sentence.
Interesting that I've seen exactly zero "journalists" do the minimal amount of research needed to find this very relevant info.
