If the Trustee knew the extent of DSP's whaling on the game why didn't she give him the CH13? From the spending alone this year its clear he has enough to go on a payment plan. Fucking idiot blew 50K on this game and got 100k wiped away at the same time.

He appears to have filed them under "microtransactions" and banked on Nancy not looking into what game those microtransactions actually went to. And he was rewarded for it.

Hmmmm after listening to call, I'm assuming she took down some detractor info as she knew about WWE network any chance someone messaged her about this? And she either 1. didn't care due to lazyness or 2. didn't think it mattered for a chapter 7?

I think the problem is that she would have had to chase down whether or not he ever, at any point, streamed or uploaded video of himself playing WWE Champions. We all know he didn't. But he could claim he streamed it but no longer had the archive. I don't think it ever got that far--I think she probably just accepted "microtransactions" and didn't investigate further. The fact that he only has the WA condo as an asset of significance may have had something to do with it too, but who knows.

Kinda wish we got to see her notes or an actual report or something.

What's baffling is that he whaled at pretty much a constant rate throughout the bankruptcy.

So it's unlikely that he laid low and took a break while he was under the microscope. Really the only alternatives are that once you're LVL13 you don't have to spend that much money to stay on top, or Phil really did pass it all off as business expenses. Or that he managed to straight-up defraud the court, which given the laziness of these proceedings I wouldn't even rule out.

It's absolutely pathetic that he was granted the bankruptcy. It's not like Phil was some mastermind who fooled the system, he's a dumbass; it's just that the system is a joke and the boomers like Nancy really don't give a fuck about doing a proper job.

Exactly, this just reinforces the notion that he rolled this into the business expenses. If there had been a sudden decline during the bankruptcy, it would suggest that some spending had to stop as soon as he was under scrutiny - this would line up with the reports Nancy was probably getting about Phil blowing money on useless shit. Further, it would have contradicted his cover story - if this was imperative spending for his business, it would need to continue. Otherwise, it would suggest that Phil was, for some reason, cutting back on business operations during a bankruptcy.

It was a pretty good cover in that regard. He got to carry on with his addiction, full throttle, while then getting the costs basically thrown out. I mean, sure, it required defrauding the government, but Phil deserves it, right?

I wouldn't be surprised if he was nervous after he got the bankruptcy that Nancy's notes would be released, and that it would flatly prove all of this. That may be why his reaction was so lackluster and subdued - he was scared the ax was going to drop and we were going to get the real gold dust. Now he's ramping up because it's clear the notes aren't going public.

You wouldn't think it would take a genius to determine that even for someone who plays video games for a living, claiming to spend $5000 a month on "expenses" might just be lying. You could look at the cost of a new game, realize he'd have to buy 20 games a week, and say "Hmmm." But then Nancy would have had to actually dig down into Phil's "records" and see what's legit, and it was easier to just say "approved" and not put the effort in.

Come to think of it, Nancy and Phil put about the same effort into the jobs. He got the perfect person to decide his case.

I looked at the filing again, and one month has 9K business expenses. There is no fucking way Pigroach needed that much for his garbage streaming. At the most all the games/internet and other utilities are maybe what? 200?

I think I agree with you, she knows he's scamming the system and she's too lazy because shes a boomer who doesn't want to sift through Pigroaches YouTube storage device. Man... that is so sad.

i really love how pre-bankruptcy it was all "Nancy was appointed this job by the fucking president himself. she's not a fool. she'll get him...she'll fucking get him..."

and now it's nothing but "fucking...boomer nancy...ruined my life..."
That's the curse of the DSP tractor. Phil gets himself into the shittiest situation yet, everyone becomes optimistic thinking that this'll be the thing that will finally get him, but then Phil strikes us down and shows us why he's called the Pigroach by just doing nothing while the situation somehow resolves itself in his favor.
We could read the news about Renton being the ground zero of a nuclear missile strike and yet, somehow, an hour later DSP will tweet "So my town just got nuked today lol" and use it as an excuse for a year long begathon.
