Frankly, I don't take the word "bootlicker" seriously anymore. It's gone the way of "fascist" in that everyone is using it and it's become a catch-all insult for anyone that expresses an opinion someone else doesn't like.

I still think Floyd was at a minimum 3rd degree murdered. If the Drextradamus prediction that Chauvin got cucked by Floyd comes true, it might be 1st.

The issue becomes what happened after, as most people have real trouble saying "this is SO wrong ACAB!" when the protesters start rioting, destroying historical monuments, maiming people, etc. They start to look like a bigger problem than the cops.

Having the ATL shooting occur before things died down really hasn't helped because the situation is so obviously a justified shooting based on all the video, only to be met with identical cries of injustice starts to put the motivations of the protesters in serious question.

Add to that this insanity being cheer-led by 90% of the talking heads, corporations start bending over backwards, and politicians embarrass themselves repeatedly trying to kowtow...

...suddenly all that sympathy and empathy starts to die. The longer it goes, the more that dwindling sympathy starts to get replaced with resentment.

I think this thread is by and large well past the "dwindling sympathy" phase and is well into complete resentment.

Being willing to listen to public health professionals and open up needle clinics in order to stop the rampant spread of AIDS in his state was Vice President Pence being a good governor. Despite stating a policy decision (no needle exchanges), the health community advised him to go against his position. And after thought and prayer, that is exactly what he did. And he stopped a terrible disease from running wild. I would expect any good leader to do the same because the job is about more than just those that voted for you. If there is sin to bear in making such a decision, that is for God to decide and Mike Pence will be judged for it in due time. But I think he'll still be allowed in.

The reason this problem is so bad is because our leadership wasn't willing to stand up and say, "no" then meet force with force.
