As funny as it is that Floyd turned out to be a drug addicted piece of shit by all accounts, I have been presented no evidence there was a reason to spend ~8 minutes using a knee to choke him out when he was already cuffed and otherwise immobilized by 2 other officers, even if he was in the process of ODing.
Continuing to keep that knee on his neck when informed by other officers there's no pulse, that's "depraved mind".

Can they still convict on the lesser 3rd degree or manslaughter charges or does it have to be the upgraded charges or nothing now? If so then Chauvin will probably still go to prison on one of the original charges at least but either way the other 3 officers are almost guaranteed to walk.
