It’s okay everyone! Bernie is here to save everyone! All he needs is a donation of $20 or more.
Credit where credit is due.

Bernie is right to chastise the Senate. He should include the House in there as well.

It's not President Trump's fault that the Legislative Branch refuses to legislate. They leave him no choice but to get things done via Executive Order. I really have the same feels about this for Obama as well. The Executive Branch has been under siege now by the Legislative Branch for at least three Presidential election cycles. Probably more since the Bush Administration kicked a lot of this stuff into overdrive. If they want their power back, fine I get it. But the Executive Branch didn't steal it, the Legislative Branch became negligent, lazy, and averse to consequences for their decisions. They wanted the Executive Branch to take responsibility for everything but still wanted to be able to manipulate the public and now their chickens have come home to roost. These legislators handed their power over to the Executive Branch and the Presidents never even asked for it, though they were happy to take it.

Surprise surprise, the Legislative Branch has become impotent by their own grand designs and the Executive Branch now has a dick so large it can't get through the door without tearing off the molding.

For those unaware, the Lincoln Project is a bunch of booty-blasted Republicans shitting on Trump through ads. Wonder what it is.
Always take care of the traitors within, before the enemy without.

IMO this was always going to be tough fight, since Trump was essentially a third-party candidate who instigated a hostile takeover of the Republican RINO establishment.

Yeah, and now cops are quitting because they're being treated like absolute shit by the people they've sworn to protect. Soon enough, the only cops who are going to remain are the dick cops, and the only people who are going to join the force are bad people who don't care if people hate them.
And the cycle continues. Feeding off of one another...

Some estimates are as high as $500 million and that was almost two weeks ago when only 400 businesses were listed as damaged. The number of damaged businesses has nearly doubled now.

On the topic of elections, Minnesota went much more red in 2016 compared to 2008 and I expect there is a very good chance of the state flipping red for the first time in decades, especially after the riots and other far left lunacy.

That isn't considered flipped red?

It's real.

If you want a human shield, using a 100 pound skinny white girl is just a couple notches above using a toddler in terms of efficiency.

If that is impossible through democratic means, then start from the local level and build a community, talk with your neighbours, get to know the right wingers nearby and see which of them agree with you and network. Look for cheap land. The idea we can ride this out in our current state by electing the right guy, or shiposting enough is simply wrong. We may have to leave our homes, we may have to surrender some level of creature comfort to survive this as a people rather than as rootless vulnerable individuals.
your overall post is correct, but this part is wrong. you can't seriously expect to succeed with some kind of low level separatism against the massive power of a centralized state apparatus like it exists in pretty much all western countries.
this approach is viable in countries where the central government is weak and does not have full authority over its territory, that's how things like the kurdish autonomous regions in syria can exist for example. but in a western country the agents of the state have a very easy time snuffing out any such attempt long before it grows powerful enough to even be noticed by the wider public.

you simply can't run or get away from the state. if the state becomes hostile to the people, as it has in this case, then the only option is to fight and weaken it. and you can't do that by attempting to continuously give up and run away and flee from it, you can only do that by carrying out acts of sabotage and assassination against key targets without getting caught.

I want to float this out there and see if I can crowdsource books or discussions on a subtopic; the interpretation that the radical leftism that has taken hold of political discourse is the spiritual or cultural successor to the hard-right religious fundamentalism of the 2000s. It’s the same pendulum swung to the other side of the political spectrum, employing the same underlying methodologies, with the same protections & immunities, tactics, social leveraging, etc.

For example:
  • sanctioned violence in the name of a spiritual cause/spiritual warfare
  • Invocation of original sin doctrines to promote guilt and conversion
  • Protection and immunity from criticism or critique
  • Appeals based on exploited emotions
  • Interpretation of national history in terms of the religion
  • Defining Overton windows
  • Irrational hostility towards those defined as outsiders
  • “no true Scotsman” disenfranchisement of in-group members who show diversity of opinion or interpretation
  • Abject dismissal of facts
There are probably tens more but you get the idea. I’m interested in a direct lineage traced from the New Atheism through things like ElevatorGate, Atheism+, GamerGate, up until today’s SJWing with BLM. These people have grown into what many likely rebelled against in their youth and they are too stupid to recognize the same exact structure rebuilt from the rubble of the fundamentalist conservatives’ dismantling.

Any resources would be appreciated.

2016 election map by county

There's a good 3D map here

Most of the Democrat votes are in cities, the kind of cities with a lot of immigrants both legal and illegal and where you'd get your head kicked in if you said you were a Republican.

America has undergone a huge leftward shift under Trump.

No, the reactionary/revolutionary left took the mask off, after they couldn't manipulate the 2016 election. The average swing voter isn't more left-leaned than the were in 2012, and many are going to vote GOP simply because they're tired of larping leftists fucking up their commutes and destroying their grocery stores.

Not to be overdramatic but its clear we're witnessing the rise of a new religion. I'm no neckbeard atheist or even antiChristian but the closest historical parallel that comes to mind is the takeover of the Christians from the pagans in the Roman Empire. SocJustism is kinda like the Left's Christianity/Religion 2.0. It has, faith, sin, original sin, good vs evil, penance, a cult of the havenots vs the haves, and most importantly a mandate to crusade for the salvation of yourself and others. Oh and lets not forget a very uneasy relationship with sex in some quarters.

In some ways it outchristianizes Christianity by modernizing and simplifying religion down to emphasize a few of its most effective elements. The display of virtue, the oppressor/oppressed narrative, and missionary angle. This really speaks to the homebound socialite, or office drone,or Wendy's fry cook of today that they can escape their humdrum existence and become a paladin slaying the White Supremacist dragon and rescuing the poor black/LGBT/animal/planet in distress. And of course there is the general harnessing of the power of the discontented outerclasses which has been a powerful tool throughout history.

Like the battle between Christians and pagans, its more a social than a traditional war. SocJustites started out as a very insignificant offshoot of Communists, who can be considered an earlier stage of SocJustism, limited by its focus on economics.

It has gradually gained more and more power by offering a more personal more activist and relevant experience than staid traditional religions. And then the claws come out once it gains enough power to drop the philosophy of kumbaya and tolerance. Tolerance turns to dominance as society is gradually oriented to an Age where every element of existence will revolve around said Religion.
"Sir this is a Wendy's drivth"--oof, there's a saying I can't use in public anymore....

Indeed. I saw some crowd "repeat after me" stuff taking an oath to BLM on Regg's stream in Minneapolis that was very religious in nature.

Like the Christians in Pagan Rome, SJW/BLMism has gone from a joke to something you can be fired for speaking out against. It's not the state religion yet and it's still technically legal to mock and argue against, but it is pervading every strata of society and growing in power. People are afraid to not support it, and it is dividing families.

The pulling down of the statues reminds me of the destruction/conversion of temples, and the debate over the removal of the Altar of Victory in the Roman Senate House. I always said Trump could be the modern Julian the Apostate, who tried to turn back the tide but had all his policies immediately and forever overturned once gone.

The conversion of the Empire from a pagan/multireligous state with freedom of thought to one with a mandatory monoreligion had huge consequences for Roman society. Eventually if you didn't submit, your property and life was forfeit. It caused some rich and powerful people to drop out of society and pledge their lives, money, and property to the church which didn't help as civilzation was unravelling under a barbarian onslaught. It saw the Romans in the West and East waste time at best, riot at worst, over religious debates on minutia regarding the nature of Christ--all while their civilization was collapsing. "Oh, the Goths are sacking cities in the interior? Let's ignore that and have a synod on whether Christ was part divine or all human before or after he mounted the cross!"

The Church also grew massively in power, becoming a separate but equal power structure alongside the civilian govt. It held more power than the civilian govt in some localities, and continued to exist when the civil govt failed or was replaced by outside Germanic govt.

It took centuries for Christians to go from a weird joke cult to somewhat acceptable, to mainstream, to total domination at swordpoint. But in our mass media tech culture this can be accelerated. And like the Romans, we have other crises right now--plague, pending economic collapse, and mass migration.

BRB, going to bury a coin hoard in the garden.
So the only religion that can match this madness and even take it down is Islam?

I don't get how people are still saying the cop killed him or contributed in any meaningful way to his death. There's so much up in the air because of the autopsy that if you're actually making conclusive statements about it, you must have a learning disability. Just wait for it to go to court.

I've said it previously in this thread - I'm not a lawyer, and I'm definitely no brighter than any of the other people here, but I could absolutely defend Chauvin, based on the toxicology and autopsy findings. In fact, I'd put up $10 of my very limited stimulus money that says most people here could do it.

Legit big brain moment. I've always known there was a connection between socjus and personality-void 90 IQ losers but I've never been able to fully explain it beyond "they are dumb so they like dumb things", which isn't really an explanation. This makes a lot of sense though. It feels like they live in a fantasy world because they actually live in a fantasy world.

Unfortunately you only get partial credit because Don Quixote warned us about this 400 years ago. To a frightening degree of accuracy, really.

Don Quixote next "frees" a young boy named Andres who is tied to a tree and beaten by his master, and makes his master swear to treat the boy fairly, but the boy's beating is continued (and in fact redoubled) as soon as Quixote leaves. Don Quixote then encounters traders from Toledo, who "insult" the imaginary Dulcinea [his lady love]. He attacks them, only to be severely beaten and left on the side of the road, and is returned to his home by a neighboring peasant.

Prescient.

Random thought; Burroughs was right about words & thoughts being a virus, and he posited about memes & tulpas being used as a form of thought control as well.

The man was a raging junky, fag, and pederast, a lot of his work is totally filthy; and his Supreme Court case defending Naked Lunch absolutely paved the way for furry & hentai porn publishers. But in other respects, as in his theories on thought control, he was absolutely spot on. It was just the sources of control that he was off about.
