Speaking to some of the fans, there's an interesting trend showing in most - while they are almost completely sold on the idea that it is Phil, because it's not completely guaranteed to be him they don't feel comfortable enough to confirm their belief in it. The evidence is overwhelming in it being Phil, they can ACKnowledge that but because it's not fully proven, there's a small window of belief in it being a troll in disguise.

People have trolled Phil before and tried to blackmail Phil before, it's true. It's this hope his fans hold on to. I maintain my belief fans won't actually care, though.

That thread was created Saturday, so how is it still up? It's not like Phil cares about the optics of silencing people despite supposedly being innocent anyway.

To believe it's a troll is to believe that, bare minimum, a troll decided to spend four years and $40,000 dedicated to duping some people into thinking that Phil has a horrible gacha addiction. Not impossible, but the odds are close to zero, especially given the things beyond any troll's power, like Phil obviously being driven almost to tears over this. Not even Phil would be THAT emotionally affected by months of Champions memes if it was anything other than true.

What really emotionally affected him was that his bankruptcy was (supposedly) held up for months over WWE Champions. That's a real smoking gun - if he didn't play the game or only spent a few dollars on it, there's no reason anyone would have spent time on it. I was assuming that his tying it to his bankruptcy was just more of his reflexive revision of history, and that his tantrum was more over the fact that he can't keep a guild, thus ruining the game for him. After all, it's easy to see him caring more about gacha than scoring Chapter 7.

I wouldn't waste too much time with this mobile shit. At most, you'll only be able to insult Phil in wrassle-world before he cries to a mod (or bans you himself) which is not that different from doing it in his twitch chat.

Tbf to Mora they're asking questions and flat-out saying that Phil could easily disprove this but won't, on his own forum. I've seen Phil ban for a lot less.

I find it natural for fans to look for all possibilities when they see someone they admire do something questionable. We see it all the time with bigger celebrities on twitter. And it's actually healthy somewhat to look at every single possibility rather than accept the first thing you see as the full and complete story.

That said there's overwhelming evidence against Phil, and nothing really to defend Phil with here. The pursuit of the absolute truth is important, especially to Phil's fans. Detractors already weren't warm to Phil so we can accept some evidence. Phil's spent years calling detractors mentally ill, autistic, out to the get him etc, and some fans will believe it's possible this is another form of sabotage. If it is, this troll needs sectioned because it's utterly insane.

They are like the same type of template posting you see happen on the Blizzard Bootlicker Forums who dissect your entire well constructed post sentence by sentence because they cannot articulate any sort of argument or debate as a whole so they have to make it seem like everything you said was wrong.

Many forum warriors use this tactic as well, where they ball up a bunch of minor nitpicks and semantics into a bullet list to make their argument appear more profound than it really is. It can be used for "offense" or "defense", but it'd look something like this:
"Here's why <Game> is bad!"
"A. The framerate dips at this point in the level."
"B. The fall damage is too high."
"C. The music is too loud at some areas."
You get the idea.

Some of these name suggestions are a bit too esoteric IMO. It has to be something that ONLY applies to DSP, and isn't vague enough to be argued away. "BigNosedFreak" could easily be ignored, argued to be a generic anti-semitic barb, etc.

Things like "PandaWas17" or "SubaruMan" are ideal imo
