Something I realize about the call to empower social workers and teachers to replace the cops - do these defund idiots not realize that both are already massively overworked, underpaid, and burning out? And that cops probably experience the same sorts of pressures at work, seeing the best and worst of humanity? It's exactly the same kind of stress experienced by teachers, nurses, social workers all face.

And being stressed that there's the possibility of food tampering, when it appeared it might have occurred? Pretty reasonable, in my eyes.



The bodycams might have been in the evidence locker that was torched, when the precinct was lit on fire. I assume there's cloud storage, but if it's not the original recording from the devices on the officers, a competent prosecutor could make an argument that any cloud-stored data isn't provably original. I don't see how they'd get a judge to agree, but just stating that in front of the jury could plant the thought in their heads.

The people of that city chose that to embody them. Why would you ever put your life on the line to keep them safe? Why would you put your fate and career in the competence and good faith of them?

There is simply no reason for any white person to police these animals in their own zoo. Get a job in a human part of the country protecting Americans from them. Not them from each other. I just watched a part of that press conference on the charges they brought against the cop in Atlanta. Absolutely insanity, every cop in Atlanta should quit right now.

The guy had a huge violent criminal record (was on parole for 4 convictions), fought both cops, stole their tazer and fired it at one of the cops who immediately returned fire.

I'd bet this is going to push a lot of cops over the edge who were already considering quitting, not just in Atlantra, but all over the country in the big cites.

Just wait outside the AO for more back up. Once about a dozen officers show up or SWAT is there then go in.

even if it was drugs that killed george floyd the police should arrest people in a way that wont kill them. the whole point is to bring the suspect back alive. of course it is unreasonable to expect the police to not fight back if the suspect resists arrest but george wasnt resisting. if sitting on the neck for 8 minutes is an approved technique then IMO the protesters should demand that the police reform to train new officers not to fuck up like that. instead they turned the entire thing into a protest against "systematic racism" and other stupid buzzwords.

Floyd was being restrained because he was in a state of excited delirium. The original call that brought the cops out was not because of the fake $20, but rather because Floyd's erratic behavior was concerning enough that it caused the cashier to notice that the bill was fake. That and the fact that this maniac was driving a car got the police involved. So, when the police tried to take him into custody and he started flopping around like a fish and freaking out, they did a 3 man pin to hold him still so that he wouldn't hurt himself or anyone else. While he was being pinned, his heart gave out and he died. The police followed protocol and waited for the EMT to arrive and pronounce him dead.

The more video and audio that comes out, the more that these officers are absolved of wrongdoing. There is a reason why Ellison is keeping the bodycam footage away from the public.

The Fulton County DA, who himself is under investigation by the GBI for embezzlement, is charging an officer with Felony Murder, a Capital crime in Georgia, not because he is interested in justice, but because it is an election year and they are appeasing a mob. He's filed 11 other charges against the officer as well, and recommending that no bond be accepted.

It should be noted that GA Annotated Code provides that lethal force is allowed when: pursuing a felony suspect in commission of a felony, and/or when an officer believes imminent bodily harm to occur, and/or when a suspect is armed. I could go charge by charge and explain how each is insane. I could also explain how an appeals court, even in the case of a conviction, will throw it out because the court was unduly influenced. But I'll spare you for now.

This same Fulton County DA, when charging officers 2 weeks ago for using their tasers during a traffic stop himself called the taser a "deadly weapon." The GA Code says the same.

He knows, as does his mayor handler, that this has nothing to do with justice. These charges are utterly unfounded. This about appeasing the mob.

When the mob rose up in Paris, Napoleon was the only one who understood by which means they may be finally dispersed.

He loaded his cannons with grapeshot and forced the back half of the mob to wear the front half of the mob. An important lesson.

What we need is a blue flu. Cops just need to stop showing up for a weak. Let these cowards eat each other.

I've had similar conflicts as I've met quite a few intelligent, well-read, responsible black people. I live in an area that's 97% white, so the black people who do come here to visit or settle in are generally the cream of the crop. I didn't realize that until I traveled around a few cities. Five years ago, I thought all black people were like the ones I'd met. Educated, intelligent, friendly. I was pretty liberal, maybe burgeoning on being a socialist prior to 2015, though not near as retarded as the modern leftists. I thought we could all be friends if we just talked, all of that hippy-dippy shit. I watched that shit going down a steep hill, saw the shit some of the people on 'my side' were saying, and realized that the black people I'd met were definitely an exception to the rule rather than being standard. All of that happened in a very short period and it was a bitter pill to swallow. You're probably experiencing the same shit as in the past few weeks, I think a lot of people are having the 'red pill' shoved down their throat. It's a shitty process because it subverts everything you thought you already knew.

Fact is, though, ultimately we need to solve this problem rather than capitulating to their demands constantly, as seems to be the current theme. There's no meaningful pushback occurring just yet and I'm not too optimistic that a counter-movement will form. You ain't the only one struggling with that cognitive dissonance. The left just overplayed their hand and showed their true colors on a massive scale, and there are plenty of people undergoing a similar process right now.
