Of course it didn't.

People can argue all they want about when lethal force is justified or not, but at the end of the day this was a drunk driver passed out behind the wheel of a car in a Wendy's drive-thru, who- after minutes of chill conversation with the cops- decided to fight them when they actually made the arrest, stole one of their tazers, and then tried to use it on them. Pretty much the entire thing was caught on film.

There is no fucking way they can spin this where Rayshard looks like an innocent, blameless victim. Not in a way that will convince normies- even their own kool-aid-drinking bretheren are probably uneasy about it, but of course they're going to keep their mouths shut.

"Self Defense".... how long until they would need to arm themselves with "less lethal" batons and stun guns? Countdown to guns and tasers? They think the old donut cops are out of shape? Good god they have clearly never known or even seen a social worker.

I can't imagine many of them being thrilled to have to add self defense training and skills to their duties either, along with knowing there will be no police to call when visits go south. Stack on the expectation that they will be perfectly programmed robots during any escalation or violent response. or else face the wrath of BLM politicians and prosecutors... lmfao. Then the FATPHOBIC expectation of fitness comes in.... then most of the people willing to do the job will end up being SEXIST TRANSPHOBIC cis men...

This is just passing the buck down from cops to New Cops. It won't change a damn thing the second someone refuses/denies whatever magic they think these community response social workers can offer, especially once shit gets violent. Looks like a duck, walks like a duck, etc.

Imagine facing domestic abuse and one of these Special Social Clown Units being sent to your apartment. Cops are supposedly already pretty useless in these cases, now imagine the Clown Unit puts an anger management pamphlet in your husband's hands and leaving instead of throwing him in the back of a cop car so you can spend a few days to decide if it is time to leave or stay yet again. Hell the Clown Unit would probably throw YOU in the back against your will to a women's womxn's men, women, and gender-non-conforming Comrade Bodies Facing Destability shelter or whatever the fucking hell future equivalent is since it is forbidden to apparently confront, much less touch, a criminal.

God these people are retarded.

The crime bill passed with 55% of the house and 60% of the senate. It also included hate crime and violence against women classifications and an assault weapons ban. Democrats would back it again in a heartbeat today for those prizes.

The GOP is just posturing with it, it’s like when Dems bring up Iraq, everyone would do it again, if Syria is any indication.

I hope they keep pushing the Defund the Police thing, it’s the most blatantly stupid and unpopular position they could take right now.

Social workers are Glorified tard baby sitters their job depending on the title is to essentially Facilitate and oversee benefits and help them find resources. Some Social workers such as SCL workers or work in home care aide drives them around takes them into the community for a field trip like grocery stores or petting zoo's. They have an incredibly high burn out rate And are notoriously underpaid and over worked. Most are just getting out of college usually female.
There are in no way qualified to handle violent Disruptive or dangerous criminals. Does any of these Educated lefties actually know what a social worker does?
