The Last of Us Franchise - Because it's apparently a franchise now. This thread has been double-DMCA’d by Sony Interactive Entertainment.

I thought 343 was the tip of the fucking pole when it comes to massacring a franchise but holy shit Neil managed to kill a series right out of third grade. It's amazing, Sony propped up Killzone, a first person shooter so garbage it had a 5 second delay on every input from the player but they couldn't save TLOU from Druckmanns kikey grasp. Truly shocking.

Honestly, I actually liked TLoU1

I wish Druckmann hadn't kicked out whats-her-name in the sake of progressivism (because kicking out women is progressive) and we just had more of the same

forgot to say that i can't fucking find her name on google period

Funny how she told him the writing is trash but he just refused to listen and look where it got him

343 wasn't even close to the tip of the pole, Gearbox exceeded them twice in killing beloved franchises and EA has a fucking massive graveyard.

Oh indeed but it is gonna make money from the first wave of day one buys and presales
and fuck the shills shouting down people telling it how it is for that, pretending like plot points cant be analyzed in and of themselves and thats its impossible to hate every possible path from a plot point or event you didnt like

I've watched quite a bit of stream footage, and here are some very autistic things I've noticed;

1. I don't think I've seen a single spiderweb anywhere, even though spiders are everywhere irl and make webs like crazy.
2. There are basically no animals in any of the outdoor environments, no birds, no squirrels, ect. let alone swarms of bugs.

Is there some canonical reason for this or has no one at ND actually spent time in a forest?

Thats the Point She Disagreed with makeing a game a Social Justice activist cause instead of a FUN Game she was thrown out like heretic .
Eventhough she did last of US & Uncharrted.
She didn't have much to do with Last of Us. Bruce Straley did, though. He left Naughty Dog in 2017. It's possible Bruce was Drunkman's wrangler.

TLOUs world already made no sense since everyone is constantly fighting eachother but there's not a single reason for people to be hungry. They could erect a few greenhouses and it would all be fine. The entire premise of The Last of Us is retarded and has been since inception of the concept.
Edit: Wouldn't you know it, Cuckmann pitched TLOU to Romero, the godfather of Zombie fiction and he told Cuckmann that it was retarded. What a shocker.

Sony is messing up a lot in recent years. The are not what they used to be, despite the PS4 success. PS5 is also looking like a bit of a mess. Fuck them.

The only place I could find that has a positive view of the game's ending is, surprise surprise, TV Tropes:

"I admit I don't have a problem with the sex scene. For uh, artistic reasons."

"I think this is just a case of putting the characters you like through hell, and maybe failing to pull it off elegantly. It's a common joke that when a writer really likes a character, they pull out all the stops in putting them through the wringer. Making a character suffer doesn't automatically mean you hate them."

"Speaking as a writer for Grimdark Magazine, I find the idea that grim and dark storytelling is bad for anyone to be a very troubling idea. Tragedies and dark storytelling are awesome. It's also a zombie apocalypse. Putting characters through hell is a proud way of showing you love them as a writer. :) It's a post-apocalypse Zombie Apocalypse setting to begin with so I'm not sure why people would want it to change."

"I'm actually of the mind the ending is oddly uplifting. Ellie successfully turned away from killing Abby and managed to save her remaining soul. There's hope for her rebuilding her life now."

TLOU 1 was a complete story anyway, it didn't need more
Fireflies are going to kill Joel.
You play as Ellie and have to save Joel. Then both of them are about to get killed by Fireflies.
Then you play as Abby and your quest is to kill Joel at the end.
But in the end Abby choses to not kill Joel because the two of them remind her of her own father.
Nobody cares about revenge except salty Firefly clowns.
