The Last of Us Franchise - Because it's apparently a franchise now. This thread has been double-DMCA’d by Sony Interactive Entertainment.

Members of Brujeria are actually Mexican-Americans, so I assume that they are known in Mexico too. I don't dig how their band can influence this though, even after looking at the lyrics of their music. To give an example, you don't see guro-loving shitbags who got their influence from Cannibal Corpse.

Some are... I’m not. Neither is Shane... or Dan, or numerous other former members...

I am glad I don't own a Failstation. I am glad I don't own a Fagbox. I just do PC gaming, and I'll take Bannerlord over this any time, any day.
I was sort of a Playstation fan for quite a while despite spending the vast majority of my time playing PC games. They always seemed to have the lion's share of compelling exclusive titles, but in recent times almost everything's gone multiplatform so there's hardly any reason to care about a new console release or be upset by Sony's downfall.

Just be warned, its a very slow burn and the first five episodes are hard to get through. Try to tolerate Asta's voice for the first 3-4 episodes, it gets better. And it has a MASSIVE amount of foreshadowing, so try to pay attention. Also a lot of people find the main protag annoying, but he grew on me. I recommend pirating or going to crunchy roll's free trial as Hulu only goes up to episode 50 and you really start understanding at episode 70. Also there are 'gag' characters who actually get their own development and growth. You think this woman who dresses in underwear is there just for fan service, but you find out she's actually been abused. The characters are all really good.

That being said, the 'rules' of the world aren't asspulls and the characters genuinely need to work together. Asta is an imperfect protagonist. He's stupid, reckless, and way too trusting. But he's basically super optimistic and inspiring. I really do enjoy it. Plus it has some fucking awesome openings:

All I can say to this is:

Also the Tanya movie absolutely SHITS all over commies its fucking hysterical.

Piggy backing off this. For me I turned the corner on Asta's VA when there was a post credit scene where he shouted something like "YELLING IS MY SUPER POWER!!!"

From my experience they have a real insecurity about their intelligence and think playing games like this make them look cultured or something.

The amount of people I've seen say most don't like Life is Strange cause it's for "smart people" really makes me laugh.
It was expected elitism will come to the gaming industry sooner or later. Snobs and “artistic” people are already here, as soon as they realised they can come in if Hollywood rejected them. They want to create and show everyone how they can talk about edgy themes and can show how clever and wise they are.
But.
Games will never be the same “high art” as you expect it from movies and books. If ”games are art” why don’t you praise football and chess, snobs, this games unite millions and game process creates new, unique story each time people play it. It’s truly an example of gameplay driven narrative, created by players, and it was invented hundreds of years ago.
They want to play games about difficult choices and see consequences but they need a written story and characters as a shiny cover to make it more relatable. We already had it before, do you remember a struggle of choosing which figure you should sacrifice to save the king in chess? That’s a huge struggle and serious choice. We don’t need to see how other player brutally kills that figure to understand it better.

Just like why do people even bother. There's so much good gaming out there they subject themselve to this
Because it's popular. This game's audience isn't for people that pick and choose the games they play based on carefully selected criteria. The audience is people who will buy it for the name, play the marginally different gameplay from TLOU 1 and will go "Whoa that's dumb" when they hit all the plotpoints. Even if they hate the game by the end, it won't change their instinctual habit to endlessly consume media they won't enjoy because the point isn't to play games they enjoy, it's to fill time.

Wait, this Abby character has small boobs so Abby is underage.
So the sex scene is pedophilia.
Finally pedophiles are getting representation.
Sony is becoming pedo accepting and supporting in this pride month!
Well her lover did look like her dad, and was clearly an adult when she was young...

You had me till the end. There are ways to waste time on things that are fun, and something leaving a bad impression will just have them shrug and... never buy it again.

Its why CoD and Battlefield are relentlessly mediocre, with occasional small highs. It ensures the games never leave a BAD taste in the mouth, ensuring that people will keep coming back.

A friend of mine has been watching a fully video of all the cutscenes and major moments, and apparently Abby is a really annoying bitch, even outside of the whole “killing Joel” thing. She’s very spoiled, doesn’t care about anything other than killing Joel, and keeps trying to get Owen to cheat on his pregnant girlfriend with her now that’s she’s decided she’ll have sex since Joel is dead.

This is how I feel. I've never really been in love with Sonys first party exclusives. I was much more interested in Final Fantasy, Grand Theft Auto, Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil and other 3rd party exclusives.

By the time PS3 came out, everything was pretty much multiplatform so I went with an Xbox 360 for Oblivion funny enough. Then by 2010 I had just built a PC.

I mean they play games to fill time, not that they'll continue supporting the same brand. Sure TLOU might be dead to them but it won't change their habit and the next TLOU-esque situation will happen again. They'll never think to themselves "Maybe I should look into this more".

That really just summarized an entire generation of gaming in one go.Lol

Late with the reply, but this made me think that it would have made a nice addition if there were infected rabbi and other Jews to blast instead. Would have been some interesting variety for once.
If it ever came out on PC, that would be a great mod. Just in a synagogue you see a bunch of clickers with the beards and curly hairs on the sides of their heads. But they just shout Goyim and give you a loan with impossibly high rates causing bankruptcy.
