Feminism has never been a consistent "thing". A few years back one could still say a feminist is someone who thinks women's rights trumps men's; today this isn't even true.

The bizarre part is if you check the VA’s Twitter, she’s the exact model of SocJus you’d expect (right down to nail painting emojis and making fun of people with anime pfps), yet she’s still not black enough.

You don't need to like consumers to like the product or your work. I have seen stories about people who didn't like or outright hated children, but still worked in spheres that revolved around them. These cases are not so uncommon.

Real question is why? If preferable alternatives are available, then go for them and not something that makes you sick.

I remember answering this in a She Ra thread; basically geek culture has become a commodity in the modern age and any good resume now needs something nerd related to gather cred. With anime voice actors specifically, many simply see anime as the stepping stone to something bigger and they basically want to be the next Troy Baker or Laura Bailey.
With 15 minutes of fame and a shot in the big leagues that alluring, dealing with gross and icky nerds definitely seems worth it.

Does anyone get the feeling Juneteenth will just be the black equivalent of Cinco de Mayo? IE it’s treated as this deep cultural day for a race but people just use it for days off and parties. You have even have people telling brands and corporations to back off Juneteenth.

And if these past few weeks taught me anything is that we are long past the point of “We just want to be treated equals!”

don't now if she has her own thread, but here is some grade A special needs take right here. The reality is most people who give a shit about games tend to be the ones who leave reviews. "muh review bombs" rarely happen and most of the time you find people review anti review bombing at a far higher rate. The last of us 2 is poorly written and most people know it, critics tend to give favorable reviews to major titles and this is no different
