I man'ed up and decided to watch the final fight and ending of the game, I will share my thoughts. Consider I didnt watch the entire movie yet so I might be lacking context here and there.
Im going to assume Ellen has temporarly let go of getting revenge on Abby? Why is she freeing her? I could understand her freeing Levi but Abby? Ellen would use this oportunity to stab her in the baby maker and let her slowly bleed to death. Whatever

At the 3:41 mark, Ellen suddenly remembers "oh yeah, I spent the entire game trying to kill this bitch" so she tries to she stab her in the neck when she isnt - HAhehehehe, nah, sorry, that is what a smart person would do and anyone who stands against Abby loses their common sense. Im going to assume Ellen wanted it more personal but given how they both are, whats the point? They are clearly severely exausted and weakened.
Then Ellen threatens to slice the neck of a boy to force Abby to fight her...they are REALLY trying hard to make Ellen seem like the monster of the situation, arent they? Why does Ellen even want Abby to fight back? its like she WANTS to make it harder on herself.
Then Ellen and Abby fight and the latter fights really well for someone who looked so exausted but she isnt capable of keeping up with Ellen's extremely original dodge mechanic. Abby gets sliced multiple times, enough times it would already put down a grown ass unharmed adult. For a game all about realism, they do have Ellen and especially Abby just ignoring life threatening injuries. Then Abby gets pinned to the ground and Ellen actually is above to bury the switch knife into Abby's chest....and Abby is still not only alive but with enough strength to fight back.
No...no....absolutely not. Im sorry but you can see it was more than just the tip of the knife, it was practically the half of the blade. Even if somehow that didnt hit any organs or major arteries, Abby is NOT suddenly just pulling it out and resuming the fight. That slow stab would have KILLED a healthy adult male or at least left it far too weakened to fight back. Its like these girls dont know the meaning of pain (Akuma would have a field day with them, I swear). But because Abby has more plot armor than Ellen, she is able to just resume fighting (even tho she has two stabbing holes in her arm and chest and other slash marks all over her body).
Then we go into a very boring fist to fist fight. Its a poor man's MGS4 final boss fight. MGS4's was satisfying, intense and one of the highlights of a rather divisive game (even people who dont like MGS4 do say that its one of the few amazing moments in the game). Fuck, I feel like talking about MGS4 more than this garbage, its far less boring.
Then we go into the lady fingers scene, where Ellen, again, like an idiot, tries to hold Abby's head down by putting her hand ON HER MOUTH. The obvious happens and Abby bites them off...rather quickly. Human fingers arent that easy to bite off, its not very hard but movies make it seem far too easy as well. Oh yes, here it comes once again...DONT THEY KNOW THE MEANING OF PAIN?! Ellen just ignores it and just resumes like nothing happened. Holy shit this fight's awful.
Then we get a bizzare scene of Ellen finally getting the upper hand but because suddenly Joel decides to screw over Ellen by putting images of him in her head (thats my headcanon anyway, serves her right for being a selfish lesbo who doesnt want to at least try to have immune children and then having the guts of being mad at him for saving her) she then lets Abby go for some reason...Ellen didnt stop at killing PREGNANT WOMEN and yet when she is killing the person she came after, she begins to cry like its a vietnam war movie and lets her live. Abby has killed her father figure, nearly killed her Gewish pregnant girlfriend and just bit off her fingers but suddenly it all hits in at once? Get the fuck out of here, Cuckmann. Its as if he refuses to let us kill his tranny waifu.
So then...fight's over? Abby suddenly just gets her breath back unrealistically quick and doesnt attack Ellen? In her eyes, Ellen is defenseless...guess they truly want to make her seem like the good guy (yes I know what I said) of the fight. Who's to say Ellen isnt playing an act and just waiting for Abby to lower her guard again? Guess Abby knows Ellen isnt that smart when facing her.
So Abby escapes, ignoring the multiple cuts, stabs, bruses and near drowning that totally wont lead to an infection. I have seen anime fights that are more realistic than this. Then Ellen is left alone, crying in the water like its some sort of "deep" moment. My clogged toilet is deeper than this, Cuckmann. Imagine doing this with any movie about revenge? John Wick? Imagine if when he is about to kill the antagonist, he has visions of his dog and begins crying, then lets the bad guy go because....aww...."meeeh violence". Imagine if Taken ended with the villains being let go because violence baaaaad. But it goes far worse than that. They want to make it seem like Ellen is the bad guy and that she just now realized and "omg, im a monster" blah blah blah...yeah, Cuckmann, there are several movies and even games that did this far better than you did, you aint fooling anyone by acting like this is original. Oh, those were straight white male examples so they shouldnt count, right? Okay, fine, imagine if Ripley hesitated killing the alien queen because the poor queen just wanted to create a home for her adorable little babies and Ripley is such a monster for killing her...and she lets her go (
cue the queen massacrating her, Bishop, Hicks and Newt), if it sounds like the most autistic thing ever...well, thats because it is...and this guy made it into a game. And by extention, he wants YOU to feel bad for wanting these people (and dogs) dead...eeeeven tho the game NEVER gives you the option to not kill them. At least when Undertale tries to make you feel bad for murdering people, its clear that you are choosing this when you could have not done it so at least there it felt justified. Its not fair to judge the player over something YOU forced us to do it, Cuckmann.
So now we come to the end of this amazing (?) journey....
Ellen is now alone, because she is so bad, she is a monster and yada yada yada and even contextually it doesnt make sense. Its like the ending of the True Grit remake but awful. So Ellen tries to play the guitar but cant because she is missing fingahs...because revenge is bad, you know. Then she begins to have a realization through a flashback to a much better game that will never exist (just like the player thats realizing they should have heard the warnings and that they are probably not getting a refund). After the flashback that actually give us what we wanted, Joel and Ellen together and talking, we cue back to the present, she leaves the guitar and rides off into the sunset...nah, she just walks through a field as lame banjo music plays like this is a deep moment and...there, its over. No post credit scenes, no anything. Perhaps just a hidden message among the credits saying "No refunds, fool".
Soo...yeah, Ellen lost everything, gained nothing...
Just like the player...
Because...revenge is bad, yo....
And it took 7 years to tell us that....
