In all seriousness, isn't that study about ischemia in lupus patients? Maybe I'm exceptional (a strong possibility), but it sounds like she has less blood-not-getting-to-the-brain & more holy-fuck-where-is-all-this-brain-blood-coming-from. In my, uh, expert opinion.

I also feel like if she had lupus (or a variation thereof), she would have immediately complained about it on social media. Or maybe that's the "hypochondriac" shit she was referring to? I can see her going to the doctor's & them blowing her off because any concerns can be attributed to overwork &/or being a fat fuck. Then again, she has no health insurance, so how often would she see a doctor, anyway?

I have a few friends (like, three) with lupus, & all of them present with completely different symptoms, so who the fuck knows. I have one friend who has what we charitably call "super-lupus"---a host of autoimmune fuckery, complete with having to have her thyroid removed because her body kept attacking it (I had semi-correctly guessed she had Graves' at one point because she's got the characteristic bulging eyes).

But my point is, she started presenting in her late teens-early twenties, & is about Heather's age now. The two other people I know started presenting around the same time, early-to-mid-twenties. So if Heather has some sort of lupus, wouldn't it have showed up much earlier?

(Another interesting pattern I noticed is that 2 of the 3 lupus sufferers are from the same location, & all three come from a heavily-polluted mining area. I wonder if there's a link to, say, fracking chemicals in water, & autoimmune bullshit.)
