The problem is more the sameness of tipple a gaming right now, the walk talk sim with pretty realistic graphics was dominant for so long. finally theres some major competition after years of it, I would say the solution is much less dormancy and just getting more picky than picking up a sequel due to being a sequel and picking a game up because of how it builds itself up.

See, as far as I'm concerned the cinematic action adventure was perfected in 1991 with Another World. Like Last of Us or Uncharted or other walky talky story heavy games, it had really tasty graphics for the time and had no HUD or similar for immersion. However, it went even further than anything since.

It has one line of dialogue, and that is Buddy, the player's alien companion, saying "Matsalooba," and motioning him to come along and escape with him.

(Okay, there's the various grunts of the alien guards and the predictable AAARGH when you kick one of them in the groin, but that's about it.) It is cinematic because it uses entirely the medium and the on-camera happenings to tell a story and set a scene. Despite being completely unable to understand each other, you really feel for how Lester, the PC, and Buddy grow their relationship. Indeed, post-release an extra level was patched in just to explore that further. The vector graphics help reduce entities and things to just their essential, like, in the first level you are chased by a gorilla-panther beastie. It's just a black shape with evilly sharp teeth that lopes after you. You don't need to see its fur all individually rendered or suchlike because you already know that its fur is long, dark, and greasy looking.

Find it both funny and sorta true that "Dina being a dog" as Pewdiepie suggested, would have made Last of Us 2 more of a tolerable game lol. She could have puppies, have an army of Svens. I dont think he gets enough credit : D

The saving grace for PC is anyine can make a game for it, and you can just upload it to any website for download. For playstation, xbox, and nintendo, you have to go through them.

It's still hard to take seriously someone who finds offensive things in Spider-Man movies and has the audacity to call people stupid right in the title for rightfully bashing a game with a story so bad that it can completely ruin anything good you may get from it.

Some of it's a bit rambling, but this video had some real gems.

The whole section about how much of a sick person someone would have to be to force you to kill a dog (unless it's a bad, naughty dog).

TBH I prefer this version.

It could just be because it cuts out the cringy actual game footage, it could even just be because I have low-key loved this song for most my life because it was the first song I ever heard online back a thousand years ago before the golden age of internet mayme shit even began, but this is genuinely the funniest video I have seen all year
