Why the hell does he need spray tan, or tanning salons? I can sorta understand the teeth whitening, as they are front and center all the time. But it's not like he runs around shirtless showing off his flabby aged to 45 year old perfection all over town.
The only place he needs tanned is his hands and the top of his face. That's all anyone will see in public this summer.

He was 18 when he made the ”Kill List”. Until now, we assumed he was a minor and therefore the record was sealed. Can an adult’s record be sealed by the courts? How could he go from a terrorism charge to interning in the Utah AG’s office in a few years?

On sealing records: It depends. In my state, records can be sealed, but the applicant must make certain criteria. For instance, if it's something like retail theft or misdemeanor battery, they need to contact their area's free legal. Sometimes if a person isn't sure how or who to contact, they can get info via unemployment office or DHS and they often provide a contact number.

Free legal (again, depends on your state) often gives once a month classes, roughly two hours long, on ways to get their record sealed and to find out if they qualify. It takes some legwork too as you may have to contact your local court, State Police to obtain a rap sheet which is needed to fill out the application, pay a fee, and wait for the case to be looked at by a judge.

EDIT: I'm no good at photoshop. Sounds like a good opportunity to display a pic of the potential results of spray tanning a greasy butternut squash. Imagine a series of rusty streaks mingling with the grease and adding more stains to THE suit.

Ok, I will admit I didn't fully retain everything from the stream and watched it quite late in evening for me, but from my recall, Nick noted that the charge was dropped by the prosecutor. As the charge was Terroristic Threats, I can see why they probably did not proceed as that would be a hard one to prove.

Now, why they didn't amend the charge to something else, like uttering threats or something similar, I don't get that. Whether there was some form of external (or internal) influence to let him off, or through the various continuances, they realized they were dealing with a mentally challenged person and bullied "child" they went soft on him and let him off the hook, who knows. I also did not see anything in the police report about them finding an actual gun.

In looking at the case history, it was a number of continuance motions before a motion to dismiss, w/o prejudice, was filed by the Prosecutor. So it didn't even make it to the Preliminary Hearing stage to determine if there was enough evidence to proceed to a trial. I didn't see anything noted on the history about any evidence being filed for use in the PH, so I don't know if there would be anything of any substantive nature in the court's file in any event. I also don't see anything about a sealing order or anything like that, so it should be publicly available in my view, if a file would actually be retained (or at least available to public) for a dropped criminal charge. The only "Order" would be those granting continuances and the Order dismissing the charge. If there was a Sealing Order, it should be noted in the case history. But again, why would you need such an Order for a case that was not prosecuted. A US legal person can clarify that as I do not know the answer and I am in Canada so different laws and such here.

So, while it is odd the judge had same last name, the fact that the charge they laid to begin with was a bit weird when it should have been something less like the uttering threats that would easily be proven, I can see why they had to dismiss it. But again, why they didn't alter the charge is a bit weird, unless as I said, they saw it was just a young guy who was frustrated cause he looked like a tread, would never get a girl and had it hard at school and they felt sorry for him.

That's my take/recall from this hit list thing on Nick's stream. I guess in a way it was kind of the deflowering of or coming out of the persona of who Russell Greer is today!

"I have a thing for females". Understatement of the year.

Your "thing" is what females are trying to avoid Russ.

HOW DO YOU FLIPPING TROLLS NOT UNDERSTAND THIS YET?

For all his whining about misunderstandings, this utter mong still doesn't understand why musicians have a blanket "no unsolicited material" policy. It doesn't matter whether or not he intended for Taylor Swift to do his song. Musicians like her have this policy because it is a defense against any claim of plagiarism from someone who sends them material.

And as usual his comparison with AJ Smith's song is idiotic. I can guarantee Smith didn't send the song directly to Billy Joel's agents. Smith's song is a true homage with an earnest if sort of sappy story behind it, written with seemingly no intention of "flattering" or "getting noticed" by Billy Joel. Smith clearly has musical talent and understands advanced music theory concepts like "meter" and "chord progressions", and though the style isn't my personal cup of tea it's easy to understand why people would like it. "I Get You", on the other hand, was written specifically with the intent to get Taylor Swift's attention and displays a total lack of musical talent, apart from his hired session musicians who put in a heroic effort to polish the turd they were given.

Listening to the AJ Smith song, I really don't think Russ listened at all. It's a song the guy wrote for his wife about how he loves her and always will, and doesn't want to fight, and wants to make her happy.

There's the one line in the chorus "I can sing your favorite song, you know the one by Billy Joel."

That's it.

It's got nothing to do with Billy Joel, and wasn't written to flatter him, sexually or otherwise, and wasn't intended to make Billy get him into "the biz." It looks like he made and released it himself, and made the video on his phone.

I really don't think they had a tough case on terroristic threats. Threatening to shoot up a high school is a terroristic threat. Russ unquestionably did threaten that.

As for dismissal w/o prejudice, he probably received some sort of plea arrangement. Since there was no prejudice in the dismissal they could have re-filed the charges if he violated his probation.

He still doesn't get that no unsolicited works policies encompass gifts as well. At this point I'm not surprised but still, wow. Let's not forget that he mentions in his book that he knows about these policies and says "there seemed to be an exception to this rule" for gifts. He never says why there seems to be an exception, it's probably because he thinks the rules don't apply to him, but still, all of this insanity that's been going on for years now has come as a domino effect of him getting the wrong idea that there's an exception to a rule where there clearly isn't one.

A big thing Russ is missing here is AJ is a SINGER/songwriter. He performed the song he wrote, and as said earlier in the thread, the song wasn't about Billy Joel nor was it sent to him to get his attention. And not to mention, AJ obviously has real talent. Russ does not.

Russ is trying to play some hardcore mental gymnastics here to justify himself, because he's getting tired of everyone from his family to that damn Kiwi Farms telling him he's delusional and his schemes will never work.

And yes, Russ IS crazy for continuing to try this idiocy. It hasn't worked, it isn't working, and it will never work.

It is kind of interesting that the judge presiding over the case had the same last name as Russ and his parents. Kinda makes you think.

But I'm sure his parents and their attorney really worked up the "poor, misunderstood SpEd who just made a mistake" angle and convinced the prosecutor to be lenient with Russ so as not to destroy his future. I'm sure had the police found a gun on Russ when he was arrested then he would have gotten a harsher punishment, but as it stands it was an empty threat without a weapon present, so they probably gave him a plea deal of time served and keep his nose clean for a set amount of time.
