Was the student that said this a football player? I don't see the connection to the football program except for that fact that the football players are likely leveraging their power (as a money making sector for the school) to hold the administration hostage until the offending student is removed.

Also it was pretty funny.

EDIT: Now that I think about it, that's one obvious incongruity I've seen in the emerging "white privilege"/"white fragility" narrative. Given that everyone who isn't black is either "white" or "white-adjacent," (and therefor evil) isn't the logical outcome of this scenario blacks vs. everyone else? And do they realize that's where they're heading?

I know Hispanics and Asians used to be grouped under POC as a label, but that has been severely eroded as a banner during these riots. Hell, Asians were always Schrodinger's minority to begin with. I’ve been around for not the longest here, but a while, and have seen a lot of stupid things go on in this country. I think prior to this, the most egregious display of pure lunacy was with the circa Bush-era religious right - the fundamentalist Christians. But what I’m seeing now takes the cake, and I never imagined that would happen.

It used to be near-impossible to criticize that group, because you were politically and culturally just not allowed to, for reasons of timidity and sensitivity. All the while, the movement retained and gained political ground using that — able to handwave facts, data to the contrary, and even non-emotional takes. That’s certainly not how they are viewed now.

So on the one hand, that gives me hope for the eventual rejection of this iteration of pure lunacy too, although God knows how long that will take. But when I wonder what finally allowed effective criticism and the dismantling of the evangelical fundamentalist right, what cracked those political and cultural walls, I think it was 9/11.

When faced with such a terrible, horrible act in the name of fundamentalist religion (whether it was more politically or religiously motivated is moot by now), people like Dawkins and the New Atheists were emboldened to launch critical assaults on it in the following decade, and had the definitive event to point to in the face of the prevailing sensitivity.

So on the other hand, it worries me that it will only take another comparably lethal and tragic event enacted by who could be representative of the left, to really reverse the virulence and similar non-critical propagation of BLM and IDpol, and their political and cultural immunity from criticism.

Based on what we have seen, in this thread but well beyond it, I am entirely comfortable believing that those on the far left are capable and willing to perform such an act out of belief in the good of their cause. There are extremely similar to an evangelical, religious, fundamentalist militant, and are well equipped with the necessary dogma along with a confused (inverted, really) ethical orientation.

Honestly, I think these riots might end up being for SJW's what 9/11 was for the Religious Right

But at the same time, the Religious Right was slowly starting to taper off in the late 90's but then the rise of Dubya and 9/11 temporarily gave them a boost in power and energy, but it was a case of winning the battle in the very short-term and losing the war in the long-term

9/11 gave Bush a blank check to go apeshit on the Middle East and bring in new legislation such as the Patriot Act, and it also made the media go soft on Bush for his first term.

Bush Derangement Syndrome didn't really exist in the mainstream media until 2005 unless you were watching Comedy Central.

Even Michael Moore was widely detested and shouted down by the Hollywood bigwigs of all people for condemning the War on Terror, but that just sped up the burnout and the demise of the Religious Right in the long run.

I am suspicious of the video, specifically when it starts. Without additional evidence, their is a good possibility, probably to the same probablity as muh racism, that the man was acting in an odd way or specifically setting up the encounter. I think the goal is to crush the white man before moving on to another demographic, I guess Asians, Arabs or gays are next. Their ideology falls apart without some oppressor class, so they will definitely turn on some other group. I don't think it's really something that can work long term though, someone will eventually jump the gun and ostracize multiple demographics at once. The goal of the non left should be to accelerate that and get them to turn on the next target before they completely neuter the whites politically, I'm not sure what the best way to do that is, but I imagine harnessing the black's aggressive bigotry is the key. They don't like jews, Asians or gays, and I'm sure they will hate the south Americans once they are the majority.

I think they are also overlooking the fact that, as the demographics change in the US, eventually a large portion of the south Americans will be seen as white (which is a subconscious goal of a ton of south Americans already).

The LGBTQ community is already on the chopping blocking even during their celebratory month because some black members feel as though they are segragated and ignored. I can't blame them for feeling that way. Liberal, wealthy coddled gays probably have the biggest egos on the planet and their sense of entitlement probably goes through the roof.

Jews will never be on the chopping block no matter how hard you try to push it in the black community even though there is enough hate for them already. Immigrants (Hispanics, Latinos, and South Asians) on the other hand could definitely be next since most blacks feel as though they are taking jobs meant for them for lower wages.

After subjecting myself to many a conversation with local residences of my community online. Most of whom attend the local universities. It was like talking to religious fundamentalist. They made absolute statements about racism the systemic problems of whites and other bold claims. however when pressed for any kind of evidence they turned on you like a heretic and just called you a racist. Of course they have their holy scriptures Books written by famous prophetic 3rd way feminists and black radicals. Most of which is full of bad now outdated information. My favorite interaction Was the woman claiming to be a man. She proclaimed one couldn't be racist towards whites. So I called her a mayo mama. She then proclaimed I was a racist sexist trump supporter who watches fox news. When I called her out this on this reminding her that she claimed you cant be racist towards white ergo calling you a mayo mama isn't racist. She Then claimed it only implies to blacks they can't be racist. It's like when you ask a Christian or any religious Zealot why their holy book and scriptures prove that there's an invisible sky daddy. They offer nothing other then blind faith as proof. I don't think there's any way of reasoning with the radical left and I don't think there's any way to a appease them. The want to remake the world according there supreme beliefs
