We have over twenty years precedent of Lowtax being a no account do nothing bitch when the opportunity to capitalize on or do something interesting in a situation presented itself. My money is on him stringing along and fucking over Jeffrey for months while sitting on the forums in the hopes of all this blowing over as the SA forums continues to decline into a somehow shittier, even more desolate place.

So where is Jose in all this? is he still posting? It's the 27th, I assume his check comes next Weds, so he probably isn't passed out on cheap cider as the English version of niggers are wont to do yet.

Last I saw, Jose was posting "Burt did nothing wrong" about the accusations re: posting creepy daughter photos and covering up Lowtax's abuse of Ashli.

Shame on him for getting our hopes up.

I think that the best outcome here would be that Lowtax leaves the site up, but retains ownership of it, and never interacts with it or the people on it in any way, shape, or form. He never posts on it, he never updates anything, and he definitely never communicates with the mods. I want to see how long SA can just sit there, stagnant and petrified, like a modern-day Rime of the Ancient Mariner.

If the exodus happens it'll probably be similar to how the SA corp Goonswarm in Eve Online scattered after losing the last great war of Eve. They go off to other corps and either get kicked out because their attitude isn't a fit for that corp. Or the more common one, they successfully amass enough numbers to twist the corp to their purposes and it just becomes a mini Goonswarm reboot. I can see the same thing happening to forums and Discords.

As a sidenote it was really funny back in 2014-16 watching Goons trying to take over the Star Citizen community but the Whales and Dads in that community were so autistic that the memes and passive agressive bullshit went over their heads. Even croberts rival/yandere stalker Derek Smart got sick of them in the end.

It's even sadder when you realize that Derek Smart has probably done more with his life than 90% of goons ever did or will.

I reversed an edit made to inform readers that SA is no normal comedy site, but in fact a "far-left" one which has indeed "been accused (by whom?) of shifting towards the political far-left with the platforming of black supremacist activists(!) on their forums and (presumably SomethingAwful's) general support (no one on Earth could tell you what constitutes 'general support') for the violent extremist group Antifa." No citation was provided for any of these claims.

If he had managed SA's value and income stream even semi-competently he would have a seven-figure bank balance, but even in his current state and with the economy where it is he could still sell whichever parts of the real estate and cars that he actually owns or his parents are willing to relinquish to him, put the proceeds into a managed trust, and have enough to draw 3-5% a year and be able to live reasonably. Again assuming he can ever get around the tax debt - it seems like being able to send money from Patreon and the SA business accounts to wherever he chooses is very important since if he was just getting paid directly in his own name it would all be seized.

Any normal person would hit that ripcord and take the option of no longer being the center of worldwide scorn while having their basic needs paid for in perpetuity and retaining the ability to work if they want more, but Lowtax's entire thinking at this point, when he is actually sober enough to think more than six hours ahead, is based around not acknowledging his legal problems.

I'm reading the last few pages of the GBS thread and man it is shit. Goons just ritualistically repeating the same "I am a much better person than when I was 15 I am a good person and Lowtax is a fuckig shit permaban him" message sprinkled in with a spirited debate about whether or not bashing furries and bronies makes you a nazi and counts as a hate crime(!)
