Im curious how they support themselves/afford to protest this long. There are people marching every day in Arizona in over 100 degrees for this, it’s seriously cult behavior imo. You’d think they’d get bored and decide to go home to smoke some weed or play video games instead after 3-4 weeks of this.

Any long-term conflict requires logistics. I wouldn't be surprised if there were people running some sort of supply chain like with those conveniently placed palettes of bricks. I do remember protesters in years past showing up just because they could get a free sandwich.

Hard tack is just a really hard dry cracker. It doesn't need chemicals to keep for a long time. It was issued to soldiers and sailors on both sides during the Civil War and pioneers heading West made it. People still make it/buy in case of winter storms knocking out roads in cold weather states. I grew up on Pilot crackers we kept around for those winter trips to the Sierras. Pilot crackers are a type of hard tack.

Apparently in Seattle, the cops detained some protesters. The others surrounded the police station, smashed a window, and are talking with the cops inside. Last I heard was the cops said they can't properly book the suspects until they take them over to the jail, but they aren't leaving until the protesters back off. If they will, then they can make the transfer. Protesters haven't moved yet.
