why not just train police in the same fields as these "social workers" then? save money and if something goes bad then they have the means to fight. a welfare check can lead to shots fired.I disagree with the car accident, as there's a possibility of someone getting road rage. Only because road rage can go real bad, real fast. Same with Emotionally Disturbed person (at most I would say the social worker goes with a guard as backup [and at that point cost-wise you'd just send the cop]). I agree with the welfare one though, I think that's the only one I feel very confident replacing police with social workers.
